  • The "board dried seaweed" was not in Korea until the Korean empire was annexed by Japan.

Moreover, production of rice was performed only a small quantity but cereals were the staple food.

The tradition dish which Korea calls itself is full of the thing made by such Japanese annexation ages.

    LOL

  • SUSHI was first developed in Southeast Asia, and spread to south China before introduction to Japan. Therefore SUSHI isn't japaneses food, but Southeast Asian/ south china food. Also the same logic, KIM-BOB is Southeast Asian/ south china food no matter how it was changed. What a joke! Retarded/ dumb fuck japanese.. as always!!

  • Korean Kimbap is different from Japanese MAKIZUSHI.

    Please shup up ignorant Japs!

  • @Kimsropia

Makizushi was exported from Japan to Korea in 20th century. Korean original kim (nori/seaweed) is too thin to roll makizushi, isn't it?

We Japanese are very sensitive about "what country this food is from" and never say or think that, for example, ramen is originated in Japan. Instead, all the Japanese adults know that ramen is Chinese origin, and, even now, some Japanese people think that ramen is Chinese dish, inspite of the fact that ramen is too localized to call Chinese dish.

  • @decosavaryukei Hey stupid. The orgin of ramen is barely noticeable. And you seem like perceive ramen as a single kind. However, you better distinguish so many styles of ramen/noodles. Such an Idiot-like argument.

  • This is japanese MAKIZUSHI.

    Not koreanfoods.

    Korean is liar.

  • how do you make the rice?

can you use regular rice? if steamed rice what would you need?

  • @GlenCocoMakesMeWet korean rice

  • i would just it it like a wrap, the hole thing - om nham nham nham and its GONE :)

  • What's the ingredients?

  • I would say that this is "Korean styled" Japanese makizushi.

  • @seasideave1992 Your fucking makizushi is Japan styled kimbab

  • @seasideave1992 I don't think so. It's totally different from Japs dish.

  • @sowhy1251

Korans learned so many things during J-K annexation period.

    Just face the fact.

  • @seasideave1992 i understand you are a japanse right wing, glorifying japanese colonialism. but for koreans. it was the period of being exploited.

  • @seasideave1992 after meiji restoration, japan became stronger than korea. but before it, japan always learned something from korea. especially in ancient time, korean immigrants and political exiles established japanese civilization, including language.

  • @KYUNGILNAM

Face the fact. Just copy this japanese "巻きずし" and google/image it.

You can see a bunch of kimbap like food!

Korean created it? No! Korean stole it from Japan!

It's OK for koreans or anybody to eat japanese food but don't mix up the origin of foods.

  • @seasideave1992 i am certain that you are a japanese right wing who claims that korea is indebted to japan in many respects. stupid. the reverse is true. sushi and sashimi came from korea.

  • @seasideave1992 the reason is very simple. japanese language, foods, and art came from korea in ancient time.

  • @seasideave1992 the origin of japanese ancient civilization is korea. since your sush and sashimi are smilar to korean's, you are claiming that korea copied japanese. stupid. the origin of japanese things are korea. you should know the correct order.

  • @KYUNGILNAM

NO fucking civilizaition in stupid Korea, ahaha.

Maybe in your dream, just keep dreaming stupid korean fantasy.

All asian civilization came from CHINA!

  • @seasideave1992 i understand that you are a chinese-japanese. i feel sorry about your position. china used to be very influential. it is true. but influence was mutual, not one-sided. china was influeneced by india and mongolia and so on.

  • @seasideave1992 but with respect to japan, japan was more influenced by korea than china. basically japanese civilization was established by koreans in ancient time.

  • @seasideave1992 when you say china, wha does it mean? china consists of lots of races. you mean han people?

  • Comment removed

  • @seasideave1992 your family belong to han people?

  • Korean like Japanese foods.

  • @yamahanaya are you kidding? ^^

  • I want to eat this so bad that i want to cry. the place where i normally buy kimbap, the chef went back to korea. it's so sad.

  • It seems like Japanese rolling sushi.

But no wander Korea was under Japanese rule for 35 years.

I can see Japanese influence here and there in modern Korea like in Taiwan.

  • you're only partially right. us koreans started to eat dried seaweed(김) since Shila. But kimbab(seasoned rice rolled in seaweed with other ingredients) was originated from Japan, and rich kids in korea started to bring korean style maki (kimbab) as their lunch to school. Back in Shila, we used to eat dried seaweed and rice separately with some banchans, just like how we do at our everyday dinner nowadays. if you're korean, you'll know what i mean. but we did get the idea of kimbab from japan.

  • wats the green veggie?

  • I love kimbab!! :D

  • It was uploaded on my birthday :) Craving for some kimbab XD

  • Does Mr. rellmvn know Korea was a very very very insanitary country before Japan annexes Korea? Did Koreans make and eat kimbap by their hands covered with bacteria? |

    V

  • wow, why some of you guys like to talk trash about other people's culture. I bet non of you would like anyone to talk trash about your own countries. I think Japanese and Korean have the same idea on sushi and kimbab is simply becuz they happened to be surrounded by seaweed in the ocean....and they like rice (like most Asians do)....and they found out "oh, rice goes very well with seaweed"...then they stuff some more food inside to make things more interesting....that's simply it.=D

  • Hey hey Korean do not want to hear of dirty savage Jap dog culture

Dont even bring near Korean's,, it's most wonderful to most disgusting

garbage culture difference, Dont remind Korean of Japs existence OK ??

  • Had the honor of being in Korea in 1984 for the whole year. 122 Signal Battalian Camp Casey South Korea 2nd Infantry Division near the town of Tong Do Chon and then again a few weeks in 1986. I was highly impressed with the food. So much that the first thing I bought when I got back from the first tour over there was a rice cooker. anyhow I really enjoyed this video.. Thanks..

  • Anyeong. Just wnna ask, what is the difference between sushi and kimbap?

  • anyeong..just want to learn how to make kimbap...did you mix anything with the rice before rolling?..or the rice preparation, i want to know anything about it...pls..

  • i believe its the same like sushi. by adding rice vinegar.

  • What are grounds "norimaki is inferior carbon copy of kimbap"?

  • looks delish, korean food is simply raveshing.

    great video. thanks for sharing.

  • you liar. hahaha

  • Totally.

  • you are right

  • Actually, Japan was founded feb 11 660 b.c. Puhlease, stop this korea is better than japan/japan is better than korea nonsense. You need to realize that everyone's culture reflects everyone elses.

  • @drahn1275

there's a reason why kimbab's not included in one of our traditional food.

it is one of the most popular foods from korea, but it's not our traditional food.

it's kind of ashame that people thesedays don't even know about their culture straight.

if you take a little time and naver(korean search engine like google) it,

you'll be able to get a lot of results about the history of kimbab.

get your facts straight before you try to argue about other peoples culture.

  • OMG i want some haha!

  • 잘 봤어요

    고마워요~

  • It's also good with cheddar cheese and 깻잎 in

  • 오~ 역시 엄마표 김밥이 최고임 + ㅇ+!!

  • wow your mom makes it perfect!

so whats the ingredients for kimbap?

  • Fisrt you need dry seaweed. called it kim in korea.

and cooked rice with 1 littlespoon of vinegar.

    cooked carrot.(just fried little oil)

and boiled spinach with garlic and sesame seed and sesameoil.
