The actor Mr. Myagi died on November 5th 2005, sad because he was awesome, he died at the age of 74 or kidney failure in his home in california. VERY SAD :(
This is one of my favorite movies of the 80's. Ralph Macchio, Pat Morita and Randee Heller were just brilliant. Oh and I loved Elisabeth Shue, especially her character. Unfortunately, nowadays stupid girls prefer brainless muscular ill-bred playboys with rich cars & zero personality. Sad, very sad. The Karate Kid was wonderful and so realistic film! I miss the 80's
Thanks for posting. This brought back some good memories. I was 9 when the film came out, but I didn't see it until I was about 16. Macchio looks young. In fact he was at least 22 in the photo.
Thanks for Posting Naomi, this brings backs a lot of good memories, from the best decade ever...I remember the line before this song starts in the movie, when Daniel says to Mr. Miyagi.."your the best friend i ever had"....
it just seems like music in the 80's never missed. maybe it's because it's a decade that was so awesome compared to later decades. nothing can top the 80's. people were so care free, michael jackson had everybody moonwalking, movies were better and so were the songs. this entire scene of them being at the park was just a scene you can always go back and watch and say 'i wanna be at that park with allie and daniel and her sinister girlfriends so bad...at night'. lol
yeah in part 2 daniel was like to mr miyagi at the begining
"ok first ali's want to borrow my car and then she wants to try and fix taht funny noise the car makes wich i like then she wants to get those fancy marrows and on her way back she wrecks it hey i hope you can fix it"
When I was growing up in the 80's I knew it was a special time. The music, the movies, the quality of life. I'm proud to be the last generation of mankind to know what it feels like to adventure life without the certainty of cell phones and internet. The most fun times I've ever had were random unplanned events from that thing called "life".
Man....this song brought back good memories. I agree with blackadam06, themacchio4eva and others. The 80s were truly the best and at least for me it was an era of that still encompassed some innocence.
The pic is great. I remember I had the hots for Elizabeth Shue. She had the all american girl next door look. As a matter of fact she's still hot.
here's my opinion, for the new karate kid with jalen smith, i think they should have wrote it since mr miyagi died that daniel should of been the one who trained him, and gave jalen the story of how one day he went thru with what jalen is going thru and this great man taught him how to defend himself and at the same time became his bestfriend. that's just my opinion then the movie would have been more emotional and better. do yall agree?
Ms. Naomi, you realize I've been posting your video on twitter for about 8 months now;) BUT I want to thank you for posting it and I LOVE how you just have that simple yet powerful image of two innocent faces... xx #LOVE
I lived in the 80's and it was fun. I was my teenage years and this track brought back alot of memories. I still think this Karate kid is better than the new karate kid. But I do think the new one is good to butttt not as good as the older ones.
The remake sould've had a diffrent name, maybe kung fu since it mostly talked about KUNG FU not karate and i would know that cuz i take karate and all the actions that were shown in that remake is completely diffrent compared to real karate
Yeah, the 80's were great. Now, all the kids are yo, yo, yo and dress like clowns. Thanks, to Jay Z, and P Diddy. What is up with those clothes anyhow?
