I was just listening to my Louis Armstrong Hot fives and Sevens cds and the liner notes mentioned that although Kid Ory is credited he most likely only came up with the title and that it is really an uncredited Louis Composition. I don't know if that's true, but I thought it was interesting.
I love it! My dad had Muskrat Ramble on a 78RPM record and I grew up with tunes like this. It is one of my favorite ones. Maybe you know "Ballin' the Jack" too. 5*
