  • Thanks for the nice video. I really enjoyed watching it.......

  • I have MFJ 30 M CW, and it is the best little radio I've ever owned. It's allowed me to make the furthest contact I've ever done (around 9,400 miles). I can't say enough good about MFJ, and it's worth the money. It may seem a little steep for one band, but the controls are very smooth, and it's a very stable setup. 73s n Happy QSOing, Matt

  • hi,great kit.

is the new 2011 ,MFJ9440 better on noise reduction if we would usd it in my car?

    thats what i am planning,

    installing one in my jeep.

  • i have one of those mfj 920s love let me no and i will try to contact you .kc0zoo

  • MFJ-9040 was my first HF rig that wasn't borrowed. With a indoor random wire, worked stations every time I called CQ!

  • Great little radios with hot receivers and good sound. My only complaint is that you couldn't work mobile with them.... no noise blanking at all. As soon as the engine started you got S7 of hash.

Moot point anyway for me... a lightning strike took mine out. :(

  • Amazing little rig - cool looking, too.

  • I HAD a 9440 until a lightning strike destroyed it. I was able to fix the receiver which now works fine, but the transmit board is toast. Breaks my heart to this day and that was two years ago. These are great little rigs but are getting to be a bit overpriced. They also can't be used mobile since they are so unfiltered against vehicle/engine noise that the hash blocks all but the strongest signals.

  • @mnpd007 Isn't there a way to put an RF choke, or low pass filter in-line to reduce the distortion? I guess with that in-line, you'd be running serious qrpp. LoL :)

  • Awesome video -- I'm getting the itch to get back into ham radio - I was first licensed in 1978 and have been off the air for last 15 or so year -- Your video has me interested in trying QRP. Thanks for posting!!

  • Great little rigs!

  • @KJ6DRG

by looking at the numbers on the dials :O)

  • ...nice!

  • LOVE my 9475! Great little rigs!

  • So how can you tell which frequency you are operating on?

  • excellent !!

  • Nice QRP TRANSCEIVER!!!

  • Nice video of what these little radios can do. I've got the 9420 and it's one of my favorites. KF5DMI

  • I bought one used. I used an indoor dipole and worked Bermuda on my first contact. Not bad from nw IL. 73, AA9ZY

  • Adventure Radios are neat. I may just have to pick one of these baby's up... 73. AI4QT in Huntsville AL

  • I had one of these with a AADE feq counter and it worked GREAT!!! very touchy on the vfo tune, but its a matter of getting used to. It has very low power consumption, so it'll run for a very long time on a decent battery. Thanks for the vid! 73!!!!! Lou NP2OL

  • Thats a neat package and when the band conditions are good,a 5 watt signal can be heard anywhere in the world using a 1/2 wave dipole. The audio quality on that rig is quite good sounding.Great video, tnx for sharing,73Don,VO1XH

  • I love qrp
