Another good trestle is the one off Houndsville Rd in Malone. I used to go swimming there all the time as a kid. Houndsville Rd is just east of Malone - off Junction Rd (aka ELM st. in Malone) head north on Houndsville just a little bit and you will find the old train roadbed, head west (Right) on it about 1/4 to 1/2 a mile it goes over the Little Salmon, I haven't been there for 40 years. but I still remember it vividly...reddish brown stones
I still love Chateaugay. My roots are there...many generations of the BARNES family
lived and died there My Dad left right after high school but my Grandparents
ERNEST and ELIZABETH BARNES are both buried in EASTSIDE cemetary....it seems my Dad's Generation (the WW2 generation made a big exodus but as a kid I went up there every summer from probably late 1950-s through to the early 70's. back then my grandparents lived in the old FLOYD ROUNDS house
it's at the west end of town, behind the cemetery and north of highway 11. From the old days, it's between where the train tracks were and the old highway 11....by the globe mill

Yes, you are correct. It's south, my mistake. It's really beautiful in Chateaugay around the river

Where exactly is this trestle. I used to live in Chateaugay, and I don't recognize it.
