This sound was shocking the first time I heard this long ago, but now I still love it. An essential of electronic sequences, you can hear the spiral...

i always thought spiral was a small album, he bought the famous yamaha cs 80 in that year, but he really developed that fantastic machine in la opera sauvage and in the fantastic CHINA, don't forget blade runner soundtrack!....
Γεια σου Ελλάδα με τους υπέροχους συνθέτες!!!! Long live Greece !!!!Vangelis used to play keybords in an old Greek group and many years ago he migrated to America. A real magician!!!!The synthesizer sings at his hands....
Hmmmm since Vangelis's favorite Synthesizer was (and still is) the Yamaha CS-80, I wonder who he did that intro sound.... the CS-80 had no Arpeggiator or Sequencer......
In actuality Vangelis uses no instruments or synth tools, he actually bends parts of the timestream and universe to cause the sounds that pleasure fuck our ears.
I know this is an awesome upload and I am not sure it is available on cd so thanks for it . I hear the scratches and have a way better 45 rpm 4 songs extended play lp don't be mad at me if I upload all 4 songs
Some parts of the song provoke images of Hindu deities like Shiva dancing or Indra on clouds whirling galaxies in space.... very different kind of music.
Dude.. This song was made 33 YEARS AGO. The guy who composed it also made the famous score for Blade Runner, and yes I agree that "Sub Focus - let the story begin" is a freaking awesome tune. But pay some respect to what it's origin comes from. Pay respect to the originals...
Ah, the hypnotic opening sequence to the album "Spiral". Takes me back to my teenage years in the late 1980s when I was obsessed with Vangelis' music. Still love this, though I would direct everyone's attention to track 2 on the "Spiral" album, the amazing, unique, sensuous and exotic "Ballad".
It's weird, this isn't any everyday music most people would listen to... And yet i love it! I always imagne going on a endless rollercoaster, waiting for the best to come, wondering what life is going to give or take from me the next time...
And ofcourse because of "that" (some might know what i'm talking about) serie!
This was the first Vangelis track I heard, outside Chariots of Fire, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot! Easily my favorite Vangelis piece ever. I even love the "DnD Nerd meets the Space Nerd" moments, especially the main theme in the latter half of the song.
If I was an action movie maker I would definitely pick Vangelis 10,000 times over to do the whole entire scoring & the soundtrack of my film.Bladerunner,Charriots of Fire. and so on and so on and so on.A masterful genious!!
Proof that synth music is equally as organic and sweeping as a full orchestra. Synth haters, beware. This music will pWn you like nobody's business...
