  • I just watched the Woody Allen film Interiors and found that this song was influenced by that film.

It's a really great movie and suggest to anyone who sees this comment to go watch it. Finding a great song after watching a great movie is art at its finest.

  • can you tell me whhyyyyy you have been soooOOOoooo saaaa-a-a-ad?

  • @thatboynamedaaron lol those are lyrics in the song

  • This song/cd brings back some great memories from high school. I don't care if their songs are on Twilight or whatever. Death Cab will forever be one of my favorite bands, if I ever have kids they will be listening to Death Cab.

  • i know for a fact, that female death cab fans are 486% hotter than ordinary girls. so if dcfc reaches more girls via twilight, so be it. EVERYBODY WINS

  • wow...i didn't know this was on twilight :\

  • @DuskMarv me neither :c

but I feel like it's not like they wrote this song especially for twilight, so ndb.

  • "And it felt just like falling in love...again" Most amazing part ever.

  • sounds like some macabre lullaby about dying in love... ya that makes sense...right?

  • This is one of the catchiest songs on Transatlanticism. Anyone else notice the drums sound a little odd in this tune? Specifically the hi-hat? Not a complaint, just a curiosity. Wonder how they got that sound.

  • I'm sorry but this is the only death cab song I like...ti's lovely though

  • i can't put word together how much i love them so i'll just slam the keyboard /p.;ol,ikmujnhgtyo8943

  • death cab, i love you!

  • Must find this album..

  • New Moon = so not worthy of their awesomeness

  • its not there best song but still great !!!!!

  • Anybody notice that weddings are a very common theme in Death Cab songs? But it always focuses them negatively, which is beautiful, because weddings always have this sort of false delusional perfectness in our minds when we think of them. Death Cab's lyrics are so realistic and true.

  • This seriously is one of the best albums ever made. Tiny Vessels + Transatlanticism = 11 minutes of bliss.

  • @roomie4rent When I discovered that they faded perfectly into each other, it felt like Christmas. And it was July.

  • it sucks that such great artists were on the soundtrack of such a suckish movie... even the killers were on the soundtrack, wth? but i still love death cab and the killers <3

  • not gonna lie, say all you want about twi but it has a damn good soundtrack

never seen the movies but every other artist i listen to has "ooh this song was in twilight badbadbad" in it

  • @Nukleurfire lol I don't have much self esteem but I'm proud of myself when I saw your first sentence and then think "twi? what the hell is twi?" and then saw twilight. Yeah I didn't make the connection. If twilight has death cab in it's soundtrack (well I think. I did see some twilight scnees in meet me on the equinox vid)

  • @Nukleurfire Agreed. Although I hate the series, the soundtrack is definantly pretty great. Although I can't see myself watching any of the movies, I love 99% of the artists on it.

  • they could do a song for the worst movie EVER and i would still love them to bits. :D like i do now. :)

  • @bananaphoneXP Hell yes. It's Death Cab, so really, who cares?

  • Comment removed

  • don't kill stars. they're pretty!

  • Wheres your loyalty people? DCFC forever!

  • Who are people to judge DCFC in the fact that they appeared on new moon myself i dont like twilight at all but maybe they were fans and they were glad enough and proud of themselves to play on Twilights soundtrack even though they would lose fans in the act but the people who still love there work are the true fans

  • @Rawrness256 I wasn't even aware that they were on the Twilight soundtrack...I don't really care..

  • @Zingy1256 Niice. ;-)

  • Damn, who cares about Twilight? This is an amazing band and song. They actually have meaning, and bring emotion into people. Not like other bands/singers who only write about sex, violence, and drugs.

    Death Cab For Cutie! <3

  • OK the deal is, they wrote a song for twilight. it's their choice for them to like twilight. if they like sushi and you hate susshi would you stop being loyal??? no. besides. people watch twilight... they're wonderfulness will reach more people now. I've been loyal to this band for years... and though they had a song on new

  • @hoppyhugs moon i still love them, I haven't even seen new moon. BIG FREAKING DEAL!!! People are commenting "I Don't listen to this band anymore because of twilight" well guess what... you clicked on this video..so you are listening to the band... besides... the way I see it.... having Death Cab on twilight makes it 500 times less as stupid

  • @hoppyhugs

    >implying they like twilight and werent just paid money to write it

  • This album is fucking amazing.

  • Man, Deathcab Is amazing, my girlfriend asked me why I love her yesterday. Well, she is kind of a bitch. So I told her to listen to Tiny Vessels, the next day, I was a free man. Thank you Death Cab.

  • @zingy1256 hahahaha

  • @zingy1256 Haha, that's kind of super cool.

  • Those words "...you clean the debris and walked into the angry sea

It felt just like falling in love again" So terribly sad and beautiful at the same time...

  • Comment removed

  • this is based on the film "INTERIORS," directed by Woody Allen. that just clicked for me.

  • The song makes me think that the main character is depressed, but the singer speaks of all that could depress her, and overlooks why they're sad. It also seems like the main character is a single mother of three, interior decorator. The line "He took a lover on a far away beach, while you arranged flowers, and chose color schemes" makes it sounds like she was cheated on, not knowing it, even while she worked hard. Also sounds like she's the one who broke her face...

  • Sadly, it also seems like she's the singer, in a way that she's ignoring it all, acting so happy, yet she's internally depressed. She has to be happy so that she doesn't ruin it for others.

  • Wow...I wonder how come this video doesn't have already over 10 mil views. I think it's great!

  • personaly i loved paramore and death cab long before the saga ... but if these bands hadnt been in the saga movies ... basicly they would have been a hell of a lot shitter tbh xo i mean the movies xo ....... dcfc rulee xo

  • I'll always love the beatles but DCFC is up there.

  • luvv it!! pretty sad tho...

  • transatlanticism is my favorite album <3

  • me too. (:

  • i like this ablum and plans. but they r tied

  • This song is about the movie Interiors by Woody Allen.

  • this was my favorite song its so sweet

  • guess why...:D

  • yes that is stupid, im not trying to be mean but please listen to Soul meets Body and say you still only like new moon song.

  • personally, I think "Transatlanticism" is one of their best albums. I'd check out "We Have the Facts, and We're Voting Yes" as well, Company Calls and the Epilogue, as well as Scientist Studies make that album for me.

  • Comment removed

  • i can agree that having put them selves on new moon they lost some of there appeal, but its sad that you would drop such an amazing band because of one bad situation. This is one of the bands (or only band) that can right over 30 and have them all bring real emotion out of ppl. There a rare thing and i thing they deserve a little more loyalty then that. :1

  • @xXspacecaseXx I've met Ben Gibbard and he told me that they are true stories and expressions

  • @xXspacecaseXx you are soooooo unbelievably right it's not even funny, and also, people had only started listening to them because they were on the soundtrack. It's so terrible!!!!!!!!!!!

  • here here! Pretty much severed my ties with Paramore after 4 years of loving them because they are now associated with Twilight.

  • Why do people argue on comments? Comments are towards the video/song. So comment on how much you dislike or like the video. It's just unnecessary. but any who. Death Cab for Cutie is probably my favorite band. Not gonna lie. XD

  • why do people complain about people argueing on comments...they are only contradicing themselves...

  • good point haha

  • @WOWitsANNA

Where else are they going to? There's really no other place. And since it's below the video, interested people have only to scroll down.

  • @WOWitsANNA

in all honesty, if all comments were only about the video, youtube wouldnt be fun,

  • @WOWitsANNA

    agreed dude

  • I love this friggin album!

  • i love these songs so much, every one of them but most songs there is no good guitar tabs for them

  • try songsterr, i usually find what im looking for there

  • one of their best songs

  • This is such a great song! Great Band!

  • I absolutely LOVE every single one of their songs.

  • same here same here. (L)

  • I love how they have stories in every one of their songs. It's like you can actually see the events happening... That's something only truly awesome bands can do. Love Death Cab For Cutie! Im/

  • I KNOW! Exactly what I though. :D

I lovvvve them oh so much.

  • I thought everyone who posted in correct English on YouTube was shot, and so everybody types like idiots.

    Love this song.

  • i love it.

  • Death Cab For Cutie <3 (:

  • however peaceful this song is i cant seem to find its meaning can someone help me w/that

  • It's a story. :3

  • Watch the movie Interiors (1978). That should clear everything up.

  • death cab is the best <3

  • Sounds good.

  • Comment removed

  • 1:33. Pure bliss.

  • lol for real it brings me comfort and that is the best part of the song

  • awesomeness

  • This is like my fav somg by them!Well actually I can't decide they're all good!

  • Death Cab For Cutie is addicting. I have their album downstairs but I need to hear it on the computer as well, on my iPod too, in the bath as well! They're like heroin but better! :D

  • I like to listen to then while under-water.

  • COOL SONG.

  • ummmm IAmAllSandy , im sure "w4fflezZ " made a personal comment, to them its ironic

and this song is probably not their best, but its still beautiful

  • uuummm. w4fflezzZ.....I don't know why you think this is a "heart warming" ironic situation...you know that she KILLED herself, right? Please, if you're going to use the term irony, use it correctly

  • gorgeous song :]

  • this song always makes me happy...

like, how ironic my life is, compared to this song...

i love irony, and this song depicts a heart warming ironic situation, that just makes me feel happy...

    but sad too

cause' i've never had any recent times of irony, in my life, so i've had to recall them...

And it makes me think about how i wish i could bring back the past, and do with it my current knowledge, and not have messed anything up...

  • dude same

  • When we reflect on the past, we often find many mistakes we wish we could change. Hundreds. Thousands. I have many of my own.

Millions of seconds I wish I could change.

But I don't have a time machine, and I don't think anyone else does. So now all we can hope to change is the future and the world.

  • I agree totaly i wish so bad i could make all this... i will just say "stuff" go away...I wish soo bad i never wanted to do this to her..

  • Comment removed

  • Really, Really Deep Preach dude. I feel the same when I hear this song playing.

  • You're adducted to the word irony aren't you?

I understand what you mean, it's so coincidentally odd that it happens.

  • You have really good punctuation, you addicted to grammar arent you?

  • Ha. Ha. I don't really, I just know some real english.

  • Or maybe he's addicted to not sounding like an illiterate 12 year-old.

  • Comment removed

  • Hey.

  • well maybe work on your spelling too.

    i.e. g-r-a-m-m-A-r

  • This is good grammar. If you're going to use good grammar, at least spell GRAMMAR right.

  • @bairnotforlong

    EPIC grammar fail.

  • @bairnotforlong I'm pretty sure this dude's trollin'

  • I concur. This is one of my favorites :)

  • It's a nice song. It's not my favorite, for sure. I don't think it's anybody's FAVORITE, but it's definately a good song. I like listening to it.

  • ME ENCANTAN!!!

  • Poor interior decorator. I love this song, but it's definately not the best of Death Cab for Cutie. Oh well.

  • Transatlanticism is the best song this band has ever written in my opinion.

  • this is the song that helps me fall asleep at night.

the melody is so sweet :)

    love it~ A++ ;D

  • Love this song, love the irony in it too.

    Great song. <3

  • An AMV is Death of a Coralian, an Eureka Seven AMV!

  • SAME HEREZ!

  • really? this is one of my least favorite dcfc song...I still love it! Bur by ranking i would say that lack of color and what sarah said are the best =P

  • lack of color is a bitch song.

  • this song is amazing!!! i loveeee death cab!

  • Ive had this album for years and still listen to it on a regular bases. I like this song at 1:45. best part.

  • 2:23 The birdy flies away!

    Really nice song. Yummy.

  • What a sad melody...

  • In "crooked teeth" the line"I'm in a war of head vs heart,it's always this way" it turns out to be extracted from "Crime and Misdemeanors" A 1989 film from Wooody Allen

  • Great, but shouldn't you put that on a "Crooked Teeth" video? lol

  • actually i just did it a few days ago...it seems to be that mr. Ben is a big fan of NYC, and probably it explains those references to one of its icons. In additon to that he fairly looks alike with joba Chamberlain, a new york yankee openinng pitcher

  • I just googled joba Chamberlain - he looks nothing like him! :-P

  • yeah he does what pics did you look at???

  • well this song is also inspired by one of woody allen's films.. "interior." amazing movie.

  • The song is basesd on the film 'Interiors' by Woddy Alan. The film should really be watched.

  • This is an awesome song, I agree with Smo147.

  • great song dcfc forever

  • its said that this song will be on gh4

  • Really!?

he other day I was listening to this and I was thinking to myself 'this should be on GH4'!!

  • im not sure but isnt this song about like, a womans daughter getting married and her feeling like it is her own wedding and stuff?

  • It's about a wife/mother who's husband cheats on her for another woman. The husband remarries, and the whole "vase breaks" thing is a metaphor for her love for her ex being shattered by the husband's cheating. In the end, she drowns herself. Very sad, yet great song.

  • I'd decorate their interior

  • ...lmao

  • quality.

  • this song lives and breathes in my soul

  • what is it about i can't figure it out?

  • this is one of the most beautifully crafted songs i've heard in years..

  • this song is so beautiful

  • omgg. i love this song. it rules ;]

  • lol... you're not supposed to stare at it.

its so you can listen to it while you do something else; like myspace or somethin lol :]

  • Written about an AMAZING movie, Interiors (Woody Allen director) And a very nice song :)

  • thank you for putting this video! ^_^

  • this song is nice..
