@texas77581 yeah and those artists took it far beyond what these guys would have ever thought of, something all the "purists" and history types never sem to get to...the idea that guys like this invented modern rock is overstating their importance, as much as I respect them and the history and what they overcame...let's face it, guys like this couldn't begin to comprehend, let's say, progressive rock, much less play it...it doesn't take away from what they did
@sixsixxsixxxx No, but for example Clapton's success is entirely due to people like him. Never said a Mississipi John Hurt could understand and play progressive rock. He just opened the access to that understanding.
@sixsixxsixxxx i'm pretty sure everyone knows they don't physically write the songs, but they definitely influence whomever does. my biggest influence is stevie ray vaughan, and his influence was albert king, albert kings influence was blind lemon jefferson... and so on. sure i'll take credit for the songs i write, but i wouldn't have written them if i had no influences.... i played chuck berry lines for 4 years before i even heard of chuck berry. he apparently influenced my influences lol
@AgentCarter I'm sure they do. My major complaint with radio is how they allow themselves to be controlled. Companies like Clear Channel have a strangle hold on everything. Even "classic rock" is top 40. There is nothing out there that isn't "manufactured" so to speak.
still inspiring and i hope alotta kids hear and learn to play this before the start to f' around satiani c.s. nothin wrong with that, but start where it all staarted kc55 bb
it's very annoying that the song is not complete, you cut it at 2.01 but it goes on instead!!!

These artists started it all. Without the influence via the likes of Berry where would Stones, Clapton, Berry etc be
