Because, silly as it was, it had a surprisingly mature and intelligent wit littered with pop culture references, making it more popular with the 18-34 demographic than it was with the 8-11 one. So instead of embracing that fact, the show was cancelled, and television was forever doomed to never have humor that was both mature AND clean.

btw, Smart Guy, did you know that the creators of P+F pushed for their show to be in 2D animation? Yep. You know who's the main inspiration for the show? Tex Avery. The more you know...

@ztslovebird Family Guy WAS cancelled by Fox. Then it released its DVDs and had reruns shown on Adult Swim, and people started actually watching for the first time and insisting that they un-cancel it, so they did. Unfortunately, Freakazoid didn't have that opportunity.
