Thhis song makes me cry every time now. This past season, my marching band's show theme was "The Starry Night". We used this as our pre-show piece and it was sooooo amazing to step onto the field and here the first 2:07 of this song. We won State Championships for our class (first time in school history) and this song always reminds me of our season. It makes me so happy that I cry. Truely, a beautiful song.

He wanted nothing else but to paint and capture the beauty of the world but nobody appreciated his talent and shunned him. In his entire 37 years he only sold one painting. He suffered from depression and on the 29th July 1890, he shot himself.
