  • i cant WAIT for night of the meteor

  • Not really a boss.

  • PURPLE TENTACLE!!!

    Me : LOL???

    and PEPSI??? OTL

  • all these classics are screaming for Remake HD.

  • NES Emulator....

  • I always blew up at the end, never being able to get out of the house. I can never get the last key from the stupid garage.

  • 1-Up, left...88....HH...Heil Hitler....xD

    2-Where is the final boss?

  • @SageRage93 dont be a tuna head

  • @rustyeffect

Really? I just saved you from horrible mind control and this is the thanks I get?

  • Lol Cash Would be nice at 2:55

  • What's a tuna head?

  • definitely one of the stranger games in the Nes library.

  • @IAMMIKE456 Nothing wrong with the game, it's just that it looks strange on NES.

  • @ilikemyhandsbloody I meant strange in how theirs no other game like it :D

  • I loved how you could beat this game in many ways. Getting the meteor arrested... going on a talk show with him... and then you could combine endings. I remember going to the talk show, and then he got arrested on the set! lol, awesome game.

  • Oh my god that looks even worse than the c64 version!

  • This game is pretty hard and suspensive I like it

  • what a terrible music quality...

thats a reason to hate the japanese NES..

but i like it anyway :D

    amiga sounds WAY better

  • mmmm... pepsi... ARRRG

  • True, this game may scare the crap outta me, but In reality its got very catchy tunes, My personal fav Was Dave's theme "n_n Just imagine if they made a remake for the DS or something, it would fit nicely.....

    ---Speedy---

  • A Wii remake would be more suitable.

This game is way more fun than some of the things they have out now.

  • Hmm yeah, but If they were going to Re-create the series, it would be better if they started off with a DS version, just to see how it works out. it makes alot of sense since that way the company can test themselves on how to make the game and since the DS's touch screen would be suited for it. tapping the "action" button is alot easier than moving around a Mouse...

    ---Speedy---

  • But the cursor can do things that a touch screen can't. Like if you hover the cursor over something, it can give you the name of the object without interfering with it.

  • If they make it, I will buy it, as long as it isn't anything like the Japanese Famicom version. Bonus if it has remixes of the music from the American NES version.

  • this game was scary to me. and i never got far with it. it was hard

  • Do you know what the different character choices do? Do they all make a different ending?

  • this game always has, and probobly always will, scare the absolute shit out of me.

  • I totally agree. But I love it!

  • @Brodiful if this game scares you, try playing Friday the 13th.

  • @the13igworm

What about "Nightmare on Elm Street" Now THAT'S scary. I played this game before and I was afraid of going to sleep at night and have nightmares about Freddy coming after me! lol

  • @Brodiful why? lol

  • PEPSI!!!

  • They should have had Coke instead.

  • wait i've never finished this way, how do you get to finish this way?? i always had to fly the meteor off into space in the car.

  • you get this ending when you use bernard to call the meteor police using the radio

  • i remember when i had saved game not to blow air into the cartridge to hard for some reason the game would be erased

  • Don't Be A Tuna Head!

  • all versions are sweet. nes version rocked because of the music. i remember playing for hours and hours to finish it. now i see that someone posted a video finishing it in 9 minutes. i suck. sweeeeet game

  • The NES version adds a fun additional way to off the Meteor. Instead of sending the Meteor flying into space by placing it in the trunk of the Edsel and turning on the modified rocket engine, launch the Edsel without the Meteor. This will demolish the garage and leave a hole in the previously locked fence which will allow you to re-enter the mansion. Run all the way up to the den on the top floor of the mansion before the timer runs out and you can feed the Meteor to the man-eating plant!

  • you could also use benard and get the radio tube from the living room and call the space police and have them come get the metor you just have to make sure all the doors are unlocked

  • idk but i think i did that:)

  • haha wow never tried that either

  • how cocky could dave be, you can kill your other two partners and he asks for cash, what a tuna head!!!

  • hey apparently if you win another way you blast off into space with that car,

  • yeah, there were a few different ways to finish the game. Pretty advanced, imo. a true classic!

  • love this game! brings back memories early '90s around 11-13yrs old.

  • don't be a tuna head? yep :)

  • compared to the dos version this is better, just kinda has slow downs and stuff

  • The music kicks ass!

  • i agree

  • I like the C64 version more...

  • this is the only way to play this game is the old school way on the NES to get the true experience.

  • Never played this version of the game, only the c64 one!

... but you can´t send the metroid to mars with the Cadillac at the end?

By the way, I am missing Zak Mc Cracken here :(

Hope this one isn´t forgotten :(

  • Beating the game a different way makes Fred disable the meltdown. I think there are 4 ways to win the game.

  • Ah, I see, haven´t played that game for years, but it´s still in my mind as one of the best :)

Love the details in it, like the microwave and the hamster ;)

  • The "Cadillac" is actually an Edsel; my favourite car. Furthermore, the metroid is actually a meteor, and it isn't sent to mars, just space.

  • Ah, ok, thanks for the info.

  • Love this game soooo much. Wouldn't mind seeing a movie based on it if Lucasarts had a hand in it. :)

  • Mmmhh, back in the days, this would be an awesome idea!!!

You know, like the Goonies/ Lost Boys/ Stand by me with all the stars from that era, i. e. Corey Feldman etc. :)

... but today, mmmhh, would be cool, but you can´t caught the charme of the 80´s :(

  • I agree with you on that

  • Yeah this is teh Day teh tentacles attacked! The first one though.

  • This is one game I would love to see as a remake...how cool would that be?

  • Cash would be nice!!!!

    LOL

  • if you kill dave by drowning him in the pool, the guy that ends up saying something like i'll take care of you (in a suss way) i cant remember the exact words it was so long ago, but i t's pretty funny :)

  • This was the best game ever! Die hamster die!

  • There are no bosses in Maniac Mansion.

  • I totally forgot how wicked cool that intro song is!!!

  • Wha..?? How did you get him to say that he did it!? I never did that!! I take it you have to get rid of the meteor beforehand, but how?

  • Probably the radio upstairs was used, as with PC version.

  • Maniac Mansion, NES,...

    Ahhh nostalgia :')

  • This game was so hot! Mine still works!

  • omg the music rulez:D

  • Man were can I find dis at?

  • This is my favorite NES game ever is second

behind Super Mario Bros. 3 is #1!

Still, I love Maniac Mansion is best!

  • please, post the whoooole game ;)

  • nice! i remember this game!
