  • I'm sorry, but no one's said it yet...

    He's a doctor, not a lawyer!

Ahem, now that that's over, DeForest was such an attractive gentleman, and a very talented actor. Easily one of my favourite men of all time.

  • Oh gosh, De's Southern drawl is getting to me. And his big eyes!

  • OH Man!

Deforest really knew how to rock that suit and fadora. This would have been a great show.

  • i really wish this show had sold and that there was more of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This pilot appeared as one as the last episodes of the Screen Gems-produced "ALCOA/GOODYEAR THEATER" (the title alternated by sponsor), on June 13, 1960. However, NBC wasn't interested in buying it as a weekly series. It wasn't until 1962 that the concept was finally bought by the network as the hour-long "SAM BENEDICT" [minus Gene Roddenberry's participation], starring Edmond O'Brien in the title role. "Jake Brittin" and "Sam Benedict" were modeled after real-life attorney Jake Ehrlich.

  • What a great episode. I don't understand why the show was never sold. I think it could have worked. I truly have some episodes in my mind. ;)

Maybe it was the wrong decade. Should have set in the 80s, the decade of crime and law shows.

  • Great part for de!!! love him in this!!!!
