I see you guys are "taking the lane"; this isn't permissible by motorists on my commute in So Cal. I'm about to post my own ride in a few days and looking at other's commutes tells a lot about the different attitudes about cycling in different locations. I'm actually surprised at the differences and beginning to think my city is pretty bad. How was your camera mounted?

I heave a 20-30 lbs backpack on my back and I'm tearing a$$ up my hills.

Actually I'm the one doing the passing. A friend that also bikes to work was taking the video and no he does not have panniers. He was kind enough to give me a copy of the video.
