aww the original carebears where sooooo different :( the whole plot changed. im not saying theyr bad now, but before, they where representing a reliable, loving, stable figure, like a freind or a parent; and they would help other kids on earth who felt alone. they where there showing them that there are always ppl who love you , and you can feel safe with. they werent busy with their own childish problems. i mean the new ones fun and all, but shouldnt be compared to the original.

I watch that show evry saturday when I recorded in DVR and it's totally cool. Care Bears continue to share everyone's feelings. Great job, DiC, American Greetings and CBS to bring back the 80's.
I wouldn't say they've "brought back the '80s." I just watched five minutes of this new series, and I'm struck by how incredibly different the sensibilities that color children's television are today than they were 20 years ago.
It's hard to put into words what I mean, but the whole "personality" of children's TV is different. Some ways for the better, some for the worse.
These new Care Bears have nothing to do with the 80s. They are very much creatures of the current moment.
