@yomomma2500 - yeah me neither.. the cam audio was awful , the room was too small, the drums were out of tune and not well set up and i played like a retarded robot - it adds up to one big mess.

in my upcoming new videos all of that will be changed. new cam, bigger room, new drums and more enthusiasm.

this is just how stevo plays it live, check out the winterjam 2003 performance. i do put more stress on the quarters these days and show a little more enthusiasm overall when playing the song, but thats it.

i am aware of the poor recording quality of my old videos, which is why over the last 2 years i got new drums, a new camera, moved my drums to a bigger room with better acoustics and found a sweet over-head recording spot, kind of like how cobus does it. so far it looks awesome, looking forward to uploading the new stuff.

@spudsam1993 yeah its hard to guess if you cant see the feet. but there isnt really anything in this song that would especially benefit from a double kick except may be that one fill i did at 2:58 where i just play triples (kick-tom-tom) instead of quads (kick-kick-tom-tom) per every 8th note. i also played it very sloppy in this video, but hey .. this was recorded more than 2 years ago

@pytel912 sorry to disappoint you, but this is a sonor sonic plus (it was bought new around 1995), which i sold a few years ago in order to buy a sonor extreme force.

but youre right, it looks pretty much identical to the force series although the bassdrum had plastic rims and the hardware was slightly different.

@prettychill1 by my own drive roughly 4 years now (this video is 2 years old) , but i had my first lessons when i was like 8 or 9. i just never got hooked until after i got into rock music and one day decided to actually learn to play the music that i really like. and before you know it, you find yourself playing most of the songs that you couldn't even imagine being able to play before.

@megalith23 these days I use zildjian avedis and a-custom, but theyre not cheap. blind buying a brand or model is not the smartest idea, best thing you can do is compare in a store. take a high quality crash cymbal like a 16-18" thin/medium zildjan avedis or a-custom and compare it with ones that are in your price range.

if you play very intense and usually stuff where you constantly stress the crash, it is probably better not to go for the most expensive thin cymbals.

I suggest watching some Gene Krupa, Travis Barker and Ringo Starr. Those are some of the real writers. Being able to do difficult covers if good, being able to write the original songs is a totally different story.

when i play/practice for myself i usually put all my focus on mastering a song as good as i possible with the least amount of stress. this song is one of the easiest for me because ive heard and play it so ridiculously much... so i am practically having a nap haha!
