@santero9999 the African dude is an Ethiopian woman and she is the wife of Bill Laswell. Her name is Ejihayehu Shibaba aka Gigi. She is a well known singer. Bill is also her producer.

Here, she is singing in one of Ethiopian language and it is called Amharic.

Translation of the lyrics..............." you did not heard what has happened to me............tell this guy that my heart has melted like a candle..."

i'd take an educated guess and say the percussion is by Karsh Kalle, who usually plays with bill laswell... the beautiful voice, just to mention her, belongs to Gigi, who hails from Ethiopia... this is a dub version of one of her songs, available on one of her albums...
