The mechanics are close, but Morton has a LOT more whip at the release point, causing the nasty movement on his stuff. I think the mechanics and build look like Holiday, but this kid has the whip of Pedro Martinez in his prime. He's going to be one to watch for a long time.

Morton has the motion pretty much down, but he doesn't have Halladay's arm action. Also, Halladay, like a lot of other great pitchers, generates a lot of power and movement by keeping his front side (left leg) stiff when he plants, throwing "against his body" a little bit as they say. Morton doesn't really do this. His left leg always seems to stay slightly bent.
