  • is there blu-tack avilabale in india?

  • @wwecool09 omg lol

  • see if i had to put blue tack on my layout would i still be able to put the grey gravel stuff down sorry im new and not sure whats its called ?

  • @calumc604 - if you were putting down ballast then you would not use blue-tac really, you'd use proper track pins.

  • @InterCity82 okay thanks

  • I've heard this can damage the sleepers over time, causing them to bend, snap etc.

Have you ever had any problems?

Btw, your temporary layouts ace. Great job on the sidings and stuff. Can't wait to see your new layout.

  • @12yearoldNFSMWDK - I've been using blu-tack on the temporary layout now for about 2 years and have had no problems so far.

  • can you do a layout plan for the new layout or a look at the new room and at look at

the dcc sound train you have got : ]

  • @legoboy70 - both are coming up in Series 3.

  • I use bluetack

  • i would use double sided sticky tape, just sayin...

  • does the track you use how does it stay togther? what track do you use?

  • @commanderwalker13 - The track I use is standard Hornby and Peco track.

  • i thought this was caled blue tack track sounds better

  • gr8 if hornby or some1 came up with black blue tack hahahaha

  • @KinletHallsthebest - lol, as the layout is only for fun and something to just run trains on I don't mind the blobs of blue everywhere actually. You kinda not notice them after a bit.

  • Do you have two track up at the moment or will you just use the track from this layout and put it on the board?

  • @Calum643 - at the moment the temporary layoyut is in boxes as that room is re-decorated and the new layout will have 3 main rails going round it.

  • when are you putting it on the base bourds

  • @samster412 - a proper layout is under construction. This is just a temporary one for fun and to experiment with. As well as run trains on. Videos of the proper layout will come when I'm ready to upload them.

  • instead of putting it on top of the sleepers really squash it down under the track then it would look better for the time being lol blu tack to the rescue olololo

  • @mongoosekid14 - if it's under the track, it lifts the track up, and the entire layout would be bumpy. I really don't mind how it looks to be honest as it's only a temporary layout and it's the trains I'm more interested in.

  • Paint the blue tack black so you can`t see it

  • @ianjackiemattlee - lol, the layout is only temporary

  • you my friend, are an abserlute genies i have to set my layout upthe put it away in the front living room and it keeps getting knoked apart by everyone else and pulled away by trains. ledgend

  • @teddy292929 - lol, thanks - I thought blu-tack, on a wooden floor would be a good solution - and it works!

  • its a great idea I use it my self... Intercity82 you saved the day

  • @xXInterCity125Xx - lol yeah it works doesn't it! practical

  • dude blu-tack allways saves the day.

  • @MegaTrainfreak - lol

  • Thanks for the tip! You could even, if your willing enough, paint the blu-tack black, or the same color as the sleepers, so it would just a bit less obvious if you use that technique for a professional layout.

  • @donaldengine9 - true, although, my proper layout will be pinned down so I won't need the blu-tack then.

  • thanks for this ime gona use this o n mine when i start to get it back up because if you nail it and you want to move it then youll have to unscrew all of it then there will be holes in baseboard

  • @helloimearl1 - yup!

  • @locomotion551 - it definitely works!

  • u change the name of the vid! lol

  • @itgamer100 - I did yes - very observant!

  • so what is the track plan for the big room

  • @yoshi117117 - I'll do a video on the plans as soon as I've got thru this backlog of loco and layout videos.

  • when is it moveing into the big room

  • @tomhelm1995 - This Spring/Summer!

  • I suppose you could always put a bit of ballast ot even paint over the blue tack in order to try and blend it in with the track, I'm going to build a layout on the floor as I find it removes the need for baseboards and complex building work, I just want to lay track and run trains

  • I keep hearing about Blu Tac to install decoders and now track. It looks like a very versatile product. I've never seen it here in the USA. Does anyone know what the product is called over here? Thanks. And I love your reviews. I'm learning about OO and which locos are good runners and which aren't so good. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you for the feedback! :) I promise to keep the vids coming and to make them as well as you say I am, if not better!

Blu-tac is a brand name for tacky adhesive. There's also 'White-tac', which you can get in the USA, and is white, funnily enough. But I'm sure you could find it in your local stationary store or hardware store.

If you have any trouble finding any let me know and I'll ship some over to you!

  • i need blue tac because my one falls apart i think my virgin/hornby hst train is to powerful i tried science putty it doesnt work well lols

  • The blu-tac works a treat :)

  • Hi intercity..Can you build on top of a trakmat or is it purely for asthetical reasons? probably a real stupid question but i thought I'd ask..Thanks..

  • yeah you can build on it no problem. Just make sure it's properly secured first, with tacs and glue. I haven't done one myself but have seen lots of people's layouts that have been made over the top of one. There are 2 in circulation, and both are fine.

  • Your a diamond geezer..Many thanks for info...

  • That's Exactly What I Did When I Built A Temporary Railway In Our Kitchen! :)

    Great Video

  • hehe :) yeah it works a treat! Not very professional (obviously) but it'll do until the layout is on baseboards!

  • hang on... did you say 'Kitchen'? lol

  • I used it on the end parts of my lines. Was good.

  • until the railway moves into its proper location on proper base boards - blu-tac and the conservatory floor it is! :)

  • good idea i got to try it

  • it really works! granted, it's only temporary - but it's better than a) the track moving about all over the place or b) hammering tacs into the conservatory floor! lol
