I have two midi tracks recorded. One is piano and the other one is strings. But when I play my recording back through pro tools they both come out as a piano sound. I cant get one track to play the piano sound and the other strings.
@MGAVBRACE make sure whatever plugin you are using say Xpand if you are using two sounds from the same plugin your output on your midi track will say Xpand1 and you can select various channels then you will have Xpand2 and select a channel. You probably have the same output for both plugins.
This is definitely up there with the lamest "tutorials" I've ever seen on Youtube.

Oh man I am totally lost now.
