Ah, so now I see the strategy here; Sarah knew how much Francis's character was beloved by the people, so she modeled her speaking voice after her. But, she went a little bit too far with it. I always figured no one could really actually talk like that. You betcha!

Listen here...I'm from Minnesota, and we do slightly sound like that down here (so to speak) in the Minneapolis area (when my mom gets angry the accent noticably kicks in) I despise Sarah Palin and her ideologies (for the record). She only sounds like us because according to the Star Tribune (America's finest newspaper) Palin's town of Wasilla Recieved a 200-family influx of Great Depression victims from Up North by Duluth...

I said she sounded like the Fargo woman when I heard her give her acceptance speech.
And at times, she sort of looks like Sally Field in Forrest Gump.
Bt lest we forget, both of those female characters were worth their weight in dumpling while many of the men in those movies didn't know crap.
