no is not from mgs1, any boss of mgs4 is appears in mgs1. BUT, they have the same names of mgs1 like we can see: Laughing Octopus / Decoy Octopus, Raging Raven / Vulcan Raven, Crying Wolf / Sniper Wolf and Screaming Mantis / Psycho Mantis.
