  • what is he wearing ?

  • how well does wax fill scratches?

  • @sk8skiboard3 the scratches are in the wax... so once you scrape off the wax you scrape off the scratch... unless you were gouging holes in it with a knife..

  • Good video on SCRAPING off wax. Thanks!

  • cant u scratch ur board like that?

  • @THExKiDxNiNjAX the scratch is in the wax, not the board... so when the wax comes off so does the scratch

  • my friend used candle wax. worked pretty well

  • there is no rule in using the god damn scraper u nutjobs think clearly and logical its like any other scraping to get a fine aspect and surface its not special because its scraping a snowboard for god sake

  • Agreed man. My pro shop does free waxes.

    It's awesome.

  • i just get it waxed buy the pros at the ski shop. it's a waste of time a makes a mess.

  • It's not necessary to scrape tip to tail. As long as you scrape at an acute angle and you don't kill your board its fine. Scrape tip to tail only if you don't plan to buff your board.

Just scrape and buff your board from tip to tail and tadaa~

(but make sure you buff correctly rather than think it'd be enough to rush thru it, especially if you didnt wax tip to tail)

  • to much wax in the first place...

If jou scraped and brush, youre ready also...

  • Bad video. First off you want to loosen your bindings, this will make the base flater since the screws arnt pulling up, you want your scraper acute probably 45 degree to the board (like someone erliar pointed out) Also you want to be going tip to tail as you dont do as much switch riding

    Tom

  • @madaboutrc i switch ride all the time...depends on how i land and ill ride the rest switch

  • @madaboutrc Does it matter going from tip to tail? I mean, the reason why you do this is cause, when you board, you let the snow melt, if you go in the diriction from tip to tail, it will 'glide' better on your board. But i think it doesn't matter wheter you go from tip to tail, or from tail to tip... Wouldn't make much of a difference anyway

  • this guy is a fool...

  • your holding your wax scraper the wrong way. you want to scrape with your scraper at an acute angle to the board, not an obtuse. your going to take off almost all the wax, especially if you shape it with a nylon brush or scotch brite pad. also you should use long even strokes from one end to the other to ensure you dont have heavy spots of wax and thin spots, you want an even coat. please dont follow this kids example.

  • who cares it works both ways bro.

  • everyone is so damn peticutlar, get some damn all temp wax, get any flat iron (dont use steem for any dumbases out there :) ) drip the wax on in a pattern, just get it good, then scrape off all the damn wax or as close to all as possible, wax ooonnnnn your base will only slow you down, it has to get into those pores, so scrape off alll of it on the base, and hold the scraper at whatever fucking angle you like...thats how its done haha

  • @Akidwithacamera geeez if you pay attention instead of looking for mistakes. That is exactly what hes doing removing the old wax.

  • @Akidwithacamera You idiot, look at the name of the video "Scraping off old wax".

  • I'm sorry but you don't want to scrape off wax back and forth. It's important to go from the nose to the tail because going from the tail to the nose kills your speed.

  • how? your going to be riding switch too

  • agreeing withs east cost...everyone is too particular about stupid stuff.
