my favorite scene would have to be when Bruce and Alfred are talking i have played it over so many times in my head its what i think of when someone asks me about the dark night Bruce says: "people are dying Alfred what would you have me do" Alfred:"endure master Wayne take it they'll hate you for it but that's the point of batman he can be the outcast he can make the choice that no one else can make the right choice"
what i liked most was just the joker talking, i could careless about the explosions. To me it kinda of seemed like the character study of a pscyhopath.
I think people prefer those other scenes to the idea scenes because it shows the joker actually implimenting his ideas instead of just talking about them (movie goes often have short attension spans.)
I agree with you about that watchmen chapter, one of the best scenes in the book along with Dr manhattans photograph on mars .
When I listen to the ideas they throw around, I sorta carry them with me because even if I don't believe in them or not, they have a point.
Aside from that, I really remember the part when Batman is just hitting the Joker asking "Where are they?" and Joker's just coming back with "Killing is making a choice, between one life or the other" and the reaction Joker had when none of the ships blew each other up. The face he makes.
Actually the line from that scene that registered with me was "I only have one rule" "Then that's the one your going to have to break. "
I actually have a similiar reation as the Joker. I really don't like the line Batman gives "What were you expecting? To prove everyone is as twisted as you" Because I belive in real life they some one woudl have blown up the other boat.
a Scene that really resonated with me from Batman Begins was the scene near the end where Rachel Finds out Batman Identity. Batman Sais One of the most Influencial quotes I have ever heard and it is " Its not who I am underneath, But what I do that defines me". So tottally i get this idea he has that Its not good enough to know when something is wrong or needs to be changed. You will only make a difference if you take it upon yourself and never comprimise anything for that goal no matter what.
yes, i really get what you're trying to say and i think you should make more "ideas" videos because maybe i just like to think about ideas myself. good job man!! ca't wait till ya make more vids!! :)
Definately agreed man. The Joker's dialouge is so genious. Everything he says about humanity in the interrogation room is hauntingly true. The thing about the Joker in this movie is he's almost a representation of Satan. In the scene he has with Rachel they play that errie chord, and from what I hear that's the chord you're not supposed to play in music. Back in um, the dark ages I guess? That was considered the Devil's chord.
Yeah I love everything he says to Bats in that part. The ferry scene stood out to me too, especially when the prisoner threw the detonator out the window. The criminals versus the well-to-do citizens.
I actually don't like the ferry scene. Maybe it's just cuz I'm a cynic but I think the normal people would have pushed the button. But maybe that's just me.
yes they do i keep re watching the dark knight just because of the interrogation scene just because of the writing and the dialogue that bring about so many ideas
I absolutely agree 100%. I keep hearing from everyone these days that movies/comics/novels are purely entertainment and that we should never think of it anyomre than that and I always ask, "What about the themes?" I mean, people always talk about how great the Dark Knight was and always mentions the special effects, but would it really resonate if it had no themes? I don't think so. The only reason I prefer comics and books is that the characters' inner thoughts/motives are more accessible.

I guess we're both a bit cynical
animerocker17 2 years ago
Maybe so. In Watchmen are you on Ozy's side or Rorsach? I come down on Rorsach's side.
blowshimselfupdude 2 years ago
uh...I didn't see Watchman...and I haven't read the graphic novel.
Damn, I suck. Sorry dude.
animerocker17 2 years ago
Well you gotta do one or the other and tell me what you think.

I'll do that

Well there's the brillient line of "You don't think I'd risk the battle for the soul of Gotham in a fist fight with you do you?" Is very Satanish.
