Honestly, I thought the remade battle was epic. The remix was really good. Plus the boost ability and rail grinding action made more great. I liked the original, but it felt it was missed a few things... Still, I thank SEGA for doing the best they can.

I honestly think the battle in Generations was bad. The music was poorly remixed and the battle itself felt very different. Even the location felt nothing like Space Colony Ark. The origional is better up and down and all around.

@ToaMataNui5000 I agree. The whole game was poor in my opinion, but the spirit of the boss battles for Shadow and Perfect Chaos were disappointing. It was a battle originally, not a gimmicky (and a bad gimmick, not a good gimmick) race. he loss of Super Sonic and the Werehog made the Chaos and Dragoon fights less nostalgic, albeit the Dragoon fight was well done, relatively.

In Sonic Generations, they broke the mode paying tribute to The Ultimate game by using every single aspect of the old battle and remodeling it into a new setting. I cried when I played it. I'm not a fanboy. I'm a true blue fan.
