Thanks for posting this!! John Black- the best hero daytime has ever seen. Hated the way they wrote Drake's character off the show. This strong, vibrant, passionate, heroic man--paralyzed from the neck down. I'll never forgive Days for doing that to my hero!!
He was faking it, to win them some respite from Stefano.
Look at it this way. These characters are ours to do what we want with now, especially if Corday doesn't want them. Let your imagination do the rest. ;)
