Cool Project, I may try it with fleece to make an extra warm pillow for winter :-)
The coolest think i've ever sewn was a spongebob costume for halloween one year! I made what was basically a giant pillow case and sewed on all of the facial feautres, then covered a box with the "case". I also made the yellow arms coming out of the box for my arms to go through, srt of like giant gloves, and put red and blue ribbon on some white tube socks. Best halloween costume ever!
I wanted to make a doll for my friend's new baby. Because he's a guitarist I made his little girl a little squishy electric guitar to cuddle. I made it out of fabric from my Granny's old (pretty psychedelic) housecoats. It was a stratocaster and even had little felt dials on it. It was so darn cute I struggled to give it away :o)
Hi Whitney! Great shows! My favorite project was a tinker bell costume for my neighbor's little girl. A couple of us were sewing at my house when she came over and was showing us the pattern she bought. None of us knew she sewed. Well come to find out she didn't and was going to hand sew it! We all got together to decipher the pattern (lots of pedals and other things to complicated it) and it turned out really cute!
My favorate item I have made so far is PANTIES! : ) I got the idea from another youtuber, and it was my first time making panties, so I was shocked that they turned out pretty good, they are really lite tan in the front and black in the back. And with extra fabric I had from the front I made a tight ruffle across the top.
Hey Whitney! Good job with continuity! If I had a weekly show, I'd be lucky to do 1 every 2-3 weeks! My favorite thing I've sewn was not very complicated, but it was for an important person. My dear friend P. recently had surgery on her ankle. She has trouble walking, but once she's all healed up, the procedure should help her walk better than ever. I made her a set of flannel pyjamas to keep her warm & fashionable at the hospital, plus a zip pouch for her chapstick which she NEVER goes without!
i'd have to say my favority thing i've sewn is a small purse for my little sister, which was a x-mas gift last year....i did it all by hand and without a pattern...it was this great pink/orange/black/white plaid print with black lining/zipper....and a GRR (from 'invader zim') patch on the front...it was about 6x10 inches and had a strap that made it just long enough for her to put across her shoulders...i loved it, especially since it was hand sewn!
Love your blog! Great recycle projects and other sewing projects too. My favorite thing that I've sewn would have to be my son's 3rd birthday costume. This was in 1993 and it was a ninja turtle with xtra large stuffed head and shell. He was so cute in it and used the shell for pillow for years after that!

Hi, I hope you got my video of my wearing my favorite creation: a belly dance costume that I performed in for Artscape this past summer. I used a combination of patterns and existing clothing.
My favourite thing i've ever sewn would probably be my first sewing project which was a 'hat' for my baby cousin in hk. unfortunately the 'hat' turned out to be too small for him :\
My sister is a senior, and they have this wk in where they get to dress up following different themes such as time travel, disney, and what not. This happened last week actaully. I made a greek dress for her (first time ever sewing). She took lots of pictures , she got really good comments, and im glad that she liked it, it made me happy to know she had a good time enjoying her senior wk.
Hi Whitney!!! I am so glad you're making videos because I've seen your sewing portfolios and you are amazingly talented. Sadly, I don't know how to sew yet, but my mother in law does. She makes all of my scrubs for work and I love them. My goal is to sit down with her soon and have her teach me how to make them; I know it would be something I would enjoy a lot. She also made a few of the dresses for my wedding, and they were adorable and very cheap to make.
My favorite thing I've sewn is a dress with ruffly, tiered skirt. The top part is made of white jersey material and light blue organza for the tiers of the skirt. It took me a while to insert the zipper, but i did it! I love it because it's chic and practically free. :]
6 months and everyweek wow thanks for all the tubes. My favorite thing is that I am heavy and clothes my size are expensive so I got excite when I found a shirt pattern that had the sleeves on it so it was only two pattern pieces and it fit. Have made that pattern up 50 times at least.
Oh Pick me, pick me. i always track your blogs :) My favorite thing had to be a little halter I made a few years ago :) It required a few alterations that I was proud came out right :)
Hi! I'm a big fan of yours; I love sewing and I love the projects you do. My favorite thing I've ever sewn is my quilt made out of old t-shirts. I took me a very long time to make, ( I did it by hand) and I absolutely love it!
my fave thing ive ever sewn was a pair of jeans that fit me perfect! i can never find jeans in the store that fit me good so i made my own and i loved them!!!
My favourite thing I sewed was a t-shirt / jacket.
I got the idea from the first Generation T book.
I took a t-shirt with some buttons on it, going from the neck to somewhere onder the boob area. So I cut the front of the t-shirt in a cross-shape, so there was one button left to hold the left and right side of the front together (still following me?).
Out of the scraps, I cut a flower which I sewed onto the button on the shirt. And now I have cute shirt with a flowerbutton!
My fave sewing project took a pleated white 1970s floor length gown & turned my daughter (11) into Greek goddess Artemis for her school's Halloween party. I cut the dress in half & removed sleeves, gathered & draped the huge bottom piece over 1 shoulder & crafted a sparkly fabric broach to "pin" it in place. I made a crown with foil moon and silver anniversary "laurel" leaves, a bow & arrow set. She had ribbon wrapped calves too. It was fun &adorable. LOTS of compliments. BTW I love your show~
My most favorite garment that i've ever sewn was a vintage-style chic party dress. I made the top like the top from a tube dress. I constructed it from a baggy t-shirt. Then I took gorgeous red fabric and pleated it all around, below the bust. Lastly I got sheer black ribbon and placed it halter-style on the dress. It took 2 weeks but it paid off because eveyone in the party I wore it to complemented me! :) I learned it from kaymmelF's tutorial.
OOH My favorite thing i've ever sewn was a tshirt bolero. IT took time but i loved the results. I even made a fabric flower to go on it. I may make another one soon for the winter months.
My favorite thing I sewed was my black cape. It was a very simple hooded cape design but I made it way more complicated when I decided to make it out of crushed velvet. I'd never worked with it before so that made everything interesting. I also picked up this beautiful pewter clasp to hold it together.
my favorite thing I've ever sewn and did without a pattern was my Batgirl cape. I did a hook and eye at the top so it was easy to remove, and the bottom I took a coffee cup and did the half moons to make it pointy like hers. I made it out of synthetic lack leather and the inside was a bright yellow sport parachute material.
ugly as fuck
