@BonelessChicken69er calm down, you don't have to rant to get a point across. I'm not interested in skyrim, I've never played it, but I won't bash it just because it's not my type of game. Arkham City was a bit disappointing, but FAR from shit.
Really? Arkham City? As a huge fan of Arkham Asylum, and just Batman in general, I was immensly letdown by Arkham City. It has to be the most overrated game I've ever played, it's truly baffling how good some people believe it is when it's barely more than decent. I have many, many gripes about the game, but my biggest complaint is Batman's blue cape and cowl... NUFF SAID
@drumking1006 lol, the blue cape just detracts from Batman's character for me personally, but if that was the only thing I didn't like about Arkham City I would've loved it. When I look at AC's metacritic score of 96 and watch reviews of it, I almost think that I played a different game. Although the gameplay was improved and expanded upon, the environment was massively increased in size, and visuals were better, I thought AC just didn't have as good of atmosphere and immersion of Arkham Asylum.
@drumking1006 Before I do, I want to switch to a different topic quick. Uncharted 3 is a fantastic game, I do have some nitpicks about it but ironically none of them are like what you mentioned. Overall, U2 is slightly better. I like the multiplayer in U3 is significantly better and has more longevity, and I still love the single player, but U2 is just a masterful game. I agree with you, it's better than the first one but falls short when compared to the second one.
@drumking1006 I was just wondering, but have you ever played any Infamous games? The first one is pretty average, but I loved the second one. Possibly my favorite game of 2011, even above Uncharted 3. I'd even go so far as to say that it's the best open world superhero game ever.
@corvettecrazy262 I'm not gonna lie, I hated the first Infamous. But, I did play a small piece of the demo and -- the little bit I played -- I thought it was much better.
@drumking1006 Back to Arkham City, my next biggest problem is some of the unsatisfying parts of the plot, and the cliche dialouge. I'm not gonna lie, there were a few instances where Arkham City's writing was approaching the chessyness of the Adam West TV show and Schumacher films. They weren't many, they were sporadic, and they weren't long, but some of it was cringe worthy.
Nice Review man! I agree that Dead Island is only fun when playing with friends which is a disappointment because I was looking forward to playing for about a year. Games like uncharted 3 make me wish I had a PS3, heard much positivity about it.I also completely agree with the Skyrim hype - nowhere near the best game ever but still one of the best of 2011. Arkham City is by far the best game of the year - improving on the almost perfect style of Arkham Asylum. Nice to see another video :)!
hey this is like a long time ago but do you remember skateboardpro88?

@drumking1006 Oh, and the cape isn't blue. It's actually... Purple -_-
No joke, I even found a statement back in the Summer of 2010 in which Sefton HIll, the game director of Rocksteady, clearly said it.

@corvettecrazy262 I am sorry that you didn't enjoy Arkham City as much as I.
Besides the cape and cowl being blue, (boo-fucking-hoo) what were your other gripes?

@corvettecrazy262 I do get way you're saying. Arkham Asylum had a much darker/creepier atmosphere.

@drumking1006 That's just the tip of the iceberg my friend, I can post more if you wouldn't mind.

@corvettecrazy262 I agree with you on the multiplayer. Even though I played U2's multiplayer more, U3's multilayer is much much better.

@handofdestiny123 Thanks :)
Yeah, the Uncharted series is truly amazing. Uncharted 2 is like a great summer blockbuster. To me, It's like "The Empire Strikes Back" of games.
If you ever do get a PS3, Uncharted is the trilogy to get.

@drumking1006 Cool, I'll keep that in mind :)

2011 was of the worst years in gaming history. Only innovative shit was L.A. Noire for me.
Btw, you've changed a lot.

@Dragonball4eva I totally agree, 2011 wasn't "The Best Year of Games" as some people claimed.
And...uh...thanks? lol
