I enjoyed your video. Of course my experience doesn't reflect yours, but if I did experience what you did, I would defiantly cancel it and transfer the balance to another card OR pay it off in full with cash!
i have the same problem....went from..13..% interest...miss a payment...and it went to 27..something...% interest. i mean..from 13 to 27 come on....and the sadest thing i still f......ing paying them. And you are right..open a credit union account...and let's unite and call them..e-mail them..anoy them...till they realize that the are for the people and made by the people...
I hit them with some letters today, plan to do some more tomorrow. I called them when I was in the heat of the moment look at the increase in interest rates. Ooh I was so angry, and I called them gave them a piece of my mind and hung on them. You sound really mild compared to the way I was yesterday morning. I was so furiated. Im calmed down now, but I was so angry.
All they care is about money, hit them where it counts take your buisness to a reputable local business, or private such as your work if they offer banking service, such as a military bank.
I think contacting them by e-mail, you have a trail of evidence in hard copy, on how they screw you over, by telling you one thing, and then doing something else.
And when they are in credit debt ASS that's when banks start manipulating you. It's like fishermen sitting on the shore waiting for you to take bait and once you are HOOKED they reel you in the way they want it. DON'T HAVE MONEY, DON'T F.CKING BUY IT. If you don't have money now how the F.CK do you thing you will have it in the future. It's easy to waste someones money but don't forget that you will have to return YOURS.
We need to do something, i mean we don't have power to punish BANKS but we have right to choose if we want to have business with them. Most Americans live in some kind of FAIRYTALE thinking that all universe was created for them. FORGET about it... We all start from scratch, and we are responsible for managing our income. Most Americans buy things that first of all they don't need and CAN'T afford and even realizing that they still buy it.
I missed 9 payments in the past 9 months i quit paying them after they started charging let fee + over limit fee after they lowered my credit limit from $4,000 to $1,000 in 30days and told me i had 30 days to pay $3,000. so i defaulted on this loan due to unfair fees. They gave me no warning just up and changed the limit. 39+39 fee and jacked APR to 29.99% so i quit paying period. fuck em. i only defaulted after they lowered the credit limit and hit me with fees. let them turn 2 collection.
This may make a few here feel a little better.. We've nailed Chase.. We've caught them breaking fed. law.. I can't give details, but all of you who feel wronged..let's just say they feel it now. Cheers..
@lermanni don't screw up your credit for these crooks.. I got your reply.. Send your payment next day mail and use a tracking number. That takes care of everything.. I only did the time stamped video for the A.G.s office one time to make a point.. I made my point and Chase is now in the middle of nasty little situation. They have been caught mishandling mail..a major illegal act. They can't even settle with me because they broke the law in such a blatant way. They broke fed. law..
I would encourage anyone who has a chase credit card, especially anyone who is paying the standard rate hike of 27.75 %, that if you are getting a tax return this year, to pay as much as they possibly can on their cards. THere is nowhere you can invest money that will give you that rate of return. Also, if you're bank has the option of making weekly payments through automatic bill pay, set things up so 25% of your payment is paid out weekly. Once you pay one card, apply that to the next.
i will never ever walk into a chase bank, running me up to 29.99% up from 9.99 just because they have a 30 day billing cycle, before when the bank was WAMU bank my bill was always due on the 18th of the month for years it wa, chace bought the WAMU and here comes the 30 day billing cycle, so in a month that has 31 days my nexy payment was due the 17th... i made it on the 18th as i have for years and was assed a $39 late fee and jacked me to 29.99%.. FUCK YOU CHASE!
We have caught Chase in removing stamps from payments and returning the payment as if it were rejected due to no postage just to charge a late fee. I don't owe that much compared to others. I pay over $1500 a month and have never paid late. In fact I make my payment 2 weeks ahead of time. I have started video taping making my payment with a time stamp and the A.G. in my state as well as the Feds. and my lawyers are all going after them. They seem to have changed their tune now, but it's too late
I think the same thing just happened to me. I've been a customer in perfect standing since 1982 and now I can't get a payment to them on time no matter what I do. I'm paying late fee changes on late fee's. Today I canceled my account but I think they have done this to me on purpose. I'm not paying anymore they can sue me and I don't care about my credit rating, I don't need this crap!
all CC companies are scum lately. They take and take from us and when they are in trouble they get bailed out.
Jacking up people's interest rates until they can't afford to get out of debt is just wrong.
That one credit card company that jacked their rates up to 79% is insane. They should all join Bernie Madoff in prison. I think they are going to get their money one way or another, even if they have to do things like screw up your billing or something that could be blames on the consumer.
I just found an html code that lets me BLOCK Chase's IP from accessing my website. I found Chase Banks IP address online and then used the code/script to block them from using my website. I suggest anyone who is a business website owner do this as well.
your right 100% stevehoca. unfortunately, it's not only limited to chase (which is the worst one) but all credit cards are folling chase's lead. i also especially hate discover card. i firmly believe that the credit card companies purposely hit accounts with unjust fees in an attempt to hijack your credit score in that they can continue to raise your interest rate.
Chase are scumbags. I just transfered a balance to them. I thought it was for transactions. It wasn't. They made it sound like it was for balance transfers and I wound up paying 19.9% a year! They are out of their minds! I never paid that much interest for anything in my life! I never fell for shit but its my fault I guess I did not read the microscopic print!
Chase now has the Sapphire card which apparently allows you to choose the date of your payment. But anyways I think Credit Card companies should allow you up to 4 late payments a year no questions asked if you are paying in full or the minimum. WTF?
Back in 1999 or 2000, I remember AT&T Universal Card telling me that they allowed two late payments a year if the customer was to request it. That doesn't happen anymore. Here's what you do. Make their life miserable by saying "fuck you" and not making a payment. I am saying this because they don't have as much power as you think they do. It's like the movie The Matrix. We are all willingly giving into this crap, and the truth is, we really don't have to. Be the 1% that breaks the illusion.
A couple of months ago, I forgot about the extra step and printed off that screen thinking I was finished. When I found out what happened, I called them and offered to fax them the printout which showed I had set the payment up on time. They said it didn't matter. So I was charged a late fee (even though the payment was one day late and Ive never been late before) and now they're raising my interest rate. If you get a class action suit going, I want in.
Awhile back, Chase added another screen at the end of their online payment process. At the bottom of this final screen (which you can't see unless you scroll down), you check a box saying you agree to the payment, even though the previous screen made you believe you just did that. Also, they kept the little printer icon at the top of that extra page, which makes you think you are finished. (to be continued)
CHASE is the WORST. Taking taxpayers money and more than doubling our minimum payments from 2-5%. They do this on low interest balance transfer loans to get them paid off faster and/or negotiate you to a higher rate to restore the 2% minimum payment. Mine was 5% and they offered to raise it to 8% for two years and then off course up to 18%+ after that. These people cannot be trusted.
chase customer service is shitty because they have smug lousy dumb blond fat cows for employees and they're matched only by their scum executives!
jamie dimon, gordon a. smith and the bitch deb walden, though words can't exactly describe the amount of disgust I feel towards you and your bank,I think if I say that seeing each one of you drown in a pool of vomit and dhiaria could be a pleasurable experience, you'll get the gest and hence the small letters for your names.
After Chase took over WAMU they jacked my WAMU credit card up to 29.99%. I took money out of my retirement account and paid them off and cancelled my card.
I am now getting socked with overdraft fees. I'm looking at switching to Wells Fargo or ING. Chase appears to be trying to lose business...strange.
Great. I have direct deposits with Chase. They are holding my money..even when I deposit cash. Today I am closing one of my accounts and will close the other one as soon as I contact social security. No more direct deposits. Gonna invest my money in Bank of a Mattress. No fees, no bullshit and you always know where your money is. Heck, leave your front door unlocked while your at it. I'll bet your money will have a less chance of being stolen than if Chase has it!!
Just got our Chase credit card bill. No late payments but our minimum payment went from $186.00 a month to $462.00. Nothing extra has been charged on the card in over a year. Called them and spoke to some foreign person. No help at all!!!!
Are you kidding me??? So don't pay with Debit Cards or Credit Cards??? What you are really trying to say for the past twenty minutes is that you can't manage your own personal finances. Interesting isn't it that Chase is still standing...and the reason you are in "big big" trouble is because you are a moron and when you don't have money...you spend it...keep blaming others and see how that goes for ya champ
Do you feel good now? Good. Just remember that Chase doesn't care a hill of beans for you either. Defending them is like defending racist cops for beating an innocent black man. Eventually, however, the cops come for you too. It's karma at its purest.
no he is right chase has no mercy on people even on their first late payment after years of good history. they wont negotiate and just raise rates and give u fees. they dont care. they are in business cuz they charge poeple excessively. and they bought out good customers from washington mutual. they are crap!! i cant wait to pay off my credit card this year and GET OUT ASAP
My daughter had 0 due on one statement. She had $21 due the next one, and paid $100. She paid after the last statemnt due date, and early for the next. They charged $300 in late & Overlimit now, over 3 months. 29.9 int $ payment due up 10x above normal. She was penalized for paying early!!!! They will not budge on waving the fees. Taked to sups & no change. They are crooks!!! We need to all band together some how???
No, I don't have problems with any bank. I have a net surplus in my bank account. It's just that as times come closer to economic chaos, crazy policies are driving today's financial institutions. Why is it that people like yourself defend this behavior of banks when they are just as apt to screw you over as well? I'll make a dare to you to miss one payment with Chase, and you'll see they treat you just like everyone else.
because i work at chase... before that I was get raped by bank of america.. I have learned that all banks screw.. chase is no exception.. you have to be on ur A game if you want to keep ur money with ANY corporate bank... only thing i can say is they gave me a three month wavier, and thousands of other customers also.. you'll never find a perfect bank..
why dont you step up and be a man and show ur face instaec of crying like a baby in the dark. If your gonna slander someone at least have the balls to do it 4 real.
For bronxxbunny again~~~ bring yer face down to where I live & you can see my face right before the lights go out! How much does chase pay you to monitor this website?
Sorry~~ my last response was ment for VOLLEYD13 who thinks Chase is great. So sir, I'll say it once again~~ if you are posting "chase is great" replys~~~ you must be one of their CEO's!
Since the government has shown that they will not let Chase go down (re: 25 billion of our tax $'s)~~ they are doing everything in their power to do everything they can to steal, cheat, lie & hord that cash! They thought the bail-out was for them~~ not our country!
FYI...Chase does refund fees. I had 2 fees refunded last yr and they also refunded finance charges. It was explained to me that it is their policy that they only raise the rate to 29.99 if there are 2 thats right 2 late payments in a 6 month period so
For bronxxbunny~~ You must also be in their graces somehow! They are animals! I will pay off the last of the two cards we hold that they "bought" with our tax billions & they ARE trying to shed everybody they can before the new "government" passes that new legislation that is due in 9 months!
Just give them time dear~~ they will come at you too with interest rate hikes & default fees just as soon as they can!
I'm still trying to keep my 767 credit score so~ I'll pay em but they are dead to me!
FYI...Chase does refund fees. I had 2 fees refunded last yr and they also refunded finance charges. It was explained to me that it is their policy that they only raise the rate to 29.99 if there are 2 thats right 2 late payments in a 6 month period so
CHASE - The name says it all. They will chase you to the ends of the heavens to get ALL of your money. they are demanding 300 a month at 26.99 APR, while charging me 74 every month that I am not caught up, plus 39 as a late fee,and have the nerve to jack me for another 15 when I make a payment by phone?????
People have been too dumbed down by the TV to want to do anything about this. Have you ever noticed how in countries like Peru or Brazil, people will hit the streets and throw rocks at police, all over a stipulation in their teacher's pension that takes away 1% for example? Americans have been neutered. That's why corporations, like the pharmaceutical industry will continue to exploit people. Game Over for America! I hope I'm wrong though.
I would gladly throw rocks at most of the the police I have dealt with in my lifetime. They are thieves as well. In fact,, They are responsible for my credit misfortune to begin with. I completely agree that americans have been dumbed down,, I honestly believe that they have been scared down as well. Who wants to take someone with Billions to court? But I certainly agree that the people have been dumbrd down
as of 8/1 my minimum payment goes up from $300 to $750 per month. 720 credit score, never missed a payment, never been late. The thing is with me and all of the other 850,000 people who's payment goes up 8/1 is that we all have low fixed rates. They are purposely trying to force us in to late payments and 30% interest or bankruptcy. Truely sickening. Now they want me to go to credit counseling. What? I can pay my bills if you leave me the hell alone!!!!
i love to see our tax dollars at work when i walk into wamu/chase & see complete remodels of the branches. since chase took over, there is a very different attitude in there. very condescending, snotty. they do not care if you go elsewhere. in fact, i think like you...they want you to. been with wamu 15 years. no lates, no problems. but because i voiced my opinion about them taking taxpayer $ & got attitude back, i expect them to jack me soon too.
Yes, Chase knows the deal. We have all the taxpayer dollars in our favor. America really is a country that favors the rich. Those that countrol the gold make the rules. I rest my case.
I can tell you that they have been like this for at least the last 5 years because I went through something similar back in 04. They are so big that all they can do is tout policy. I've been predicting Chase and BoA and corporations like them are going to go under.
Think about this: it doesn't have to be planned. The government is throwing money at all these fools. If you had an opportunity to loan and MAYBE get money, or get a free hand-out, what would you do?
Sorry to hear about your bad experience but Chase actually have been very nice to me. In the past 1.5 years, they have gradually lowered my interest rate from 12.5% to 7.49%, increased my credit limit to $17,600 and at one time lower my minimum payment to zero. And this is without annual fee.
Home depot is doing the same thing never been late and they raised mine to 28.99. I have a feeling it is going to be across the board and for me and others we just got comfortable we using and making payment on time and now balance is to big to pay off to get out of it. so I will not use home depot card or shop in there store.
Here's another Chase scam: I tried to schedule a check payment via the web. Apparently, I left off a digit from my account number. They charged me a $39 late fee and wouldn't cut me a break. FUCK THEM. I'm getting my $39 worth by telling everyone I know about it.
Oh! Here's the kicker: They jacked my APR to 29.99% because I had assessed a late fee, even though I had sent in another payment on time and wasn't late! I'm done with them! Transferred the balance to another card. It was a WaMu card.
I had a WAMU card and NEVER a problem. Chase took over and I guess I never got my April bill. I get a nasty email so I go online to check it out. They say I missed April so they raised my rate to 29%!!! They said I had paperless but I NEVER selected this option! These people ARE CROOKS!!! I wish I could go somewhere in person and deal with these fucks!!! I HOPE someone gets these bastards!!! No help for citizens! We just bailed out these cocksuckers!!!! Class action, Let's do it!!
LikeExpansion, did u just delete your videos/recordings? well, too bad, u could have copy-pasted my comments here to enlighten some people who are frustrated bcoz they didn't get things to go their way with chase.
it's funny how ppol can easily say they won't pay but worries abt their FICO score silently. that's why there are videos like this. get as much ppol to sympathize w/ u. & talk abt compassion? that's why wamu is bankrupt, bcoz they were too compassionate w/ fee waivers..
He is still trying to sell some crab to an angry customer. That retention rep is funny. I do not blame them. They are trained to act like robots without conscience and sympathy. 1 supervisor told me " That unfortune things happen to all of us, include myself"
Yes, they are compassionless robots, and they are "just doing their job" (yeah right). Anyway, I have something going on right now with another creditor, and if they pull any crap, I'm going to not pay at all. Screw what they do to your credit. You'll love my next video I'm doing on these credit card companies. There is a way to beat this crap, but you have to be resolute in your decision and not let friends tell you "don't do that, they'll ruin your credit." Fear is what this Oligarchy aims at.
just called them. Reps and supervisors would not wavie the fees. Then I got transfered to the so call account specialist, insist that the return check fee could not be wavied. Then I asked him to close the account after 6 years of robbery. Ironically He offer me a chase perfect card(3% back on gas). He cracks me up Do you want to earn some rewards on these fees? I can not do anything about the fees, but I could give you some reward cards.
Have a chase credit card for 6 years. Never earn any rewards or anything on it. After I enrolled in paperless statement and made a first online payment. That is only a $10 balance. So I was thinking uh it save me sometime to go to the branch.I received a confirmation saying that payment was received.
Today I just found out, there is a $39 return check fee and late fee on my account. That is ridiculous to pay $50 for a $10 statement. T
Chase is the best company i belive with a credit card i went into debt up to my eyeballs with them i mean i owed them over 3,000 and i called them and the truth is they are awsome they have a program that they drop your intrest rate to 0 % and elimante late fees so everything goes to your princapale its awseome in 6 months i only owe $800.00 i love them they work with you alot and i got proff to show you
3 mins in...blah blah blah...boycott debit cards?? Are you serious? Might as well boycott McDonald's since they make people fat too huh? These are FOR PROFIT businesses! So you want the credit card companies to go under and THOUSANDS of people lose their jobs because YOU messed up your account?? 7:50 no shxt...8 mins in, those are real people with honest jobs, it's not their fault people are idiots and pay late. No BP Card? Oh no, there goes your $25 checks! Bottom line, it was your OWN FAULT!!!
You're correct that it is the customer's respons. to make payments on time. That doesn't mean Chase doesn't do things to jack people up, trust me that they do. For example, in consideration of human and mechanical error, Chase used to have a five day grace period- they stopped that a few years ago. Chase advertises "no fee" accts, and then after a year, they slip in the fee. They'll take it off if you call them and ask, but most people don't and they know it. That's good for about $50M/yr alone.
Well I just got a shock when I opened my chase credit card statement. My fricking minimum payment jumped 250%!!! I thought I had missed a payment but I didn't. I called and was told that the minimum payment went from 2% up to 5% of the unpayed balance effective 1/1/09 to help customers get out of debt faster??!!?? WTF. there's a $10 "service charge" tacked on also. I've never been late and always paid over the minimum.
I can't sleep tonight because this freaking Chase. Sorry for language but their online system is crap! The other day it showed 5.00 minimum payment and i paid $5 but when I called them for declined transaction they told me that I had to pay $44 min. payment. What the fuck? Your online system says one thing and you other thing? Today, I called them to pay the rest. Guess what they said: My account was closed. they can't give me reason until Monday. What the hell? On Monday they will tell me BS.
Please don't let Chase keep you from sleeping. Once you close their account -- or in this case, they closed yours -- then you need to shy away from them forever. They are the worst people in the CC industry. They are all SOBs, but they get the award for the worst these Chase people.
Hey Steve, after hearing you talk about Chase, having a Chase account myself, and with troubles looming. I'm thinking of opening up a credit union account. I just need to know that if the banks in a severe emergency situation, have to shut down withdrawls. How am I safe with a credit union? I'm thinking of speaking to a lawyer as well. How can one know of one that is not bought out by banks if there are any?
Thank you for getting your money out of their account, at least soon anyway. About credit unions. Talk to the local people that deal with that institution and see if they're happy. This would include them being reasonable with fees, higher interest rates on CDs, and good solvency. Giant powerhouse banks will be the first to screw the American people to the wall. Believe me when I tell you this, shit is hitting the fan real quick; If you have investments, see if you can get those in a CU as well.
Steve, thanks for the audio. I've been a Chase customer for years. My FICO score is excellent. I've never missed a payment and I always pay more than the min. due. Chase STILL screwed me!
Today a Chase rep. told me that they could drop the 10.00 monthly fee BUT would raise my 4.99 fixed rate to 18% for x number of years. What the hell? I can't afford to pay off the card in full so I guess I'll transfer to another card (and pay a transfer fee). So long greedy Chase...
They are trying to get rid of customer liability is my opinion. I cannot prove this though. Anyway, screw Chase. I do know that U.S. Bank has a zero percent transfer fee now for its customers and a 0% fee until October of 2009. Get out of debt in 2009 if you can, but at the very least, drop Chase. They are ruthless bastards, and I mean that. Give this video link to as many people as you can. We'll give Chase a run for their parasitically-acquired wealth.
I just finished talking to Chase asking for explanation of a $10.00 fee on my on-line statement. She told me that it was a monthly credit card fee started this month and that I will soon receive a letter stating the facts. She also told me that the minimum payment will be increase to 5% of the balance. I asked them if it was legal to change all this for an existing loan. "Sure" she said. This has hit me hard.
Feel free to link this video to friends you know in their email box. Right now, this video has few views, but I think with time, word will get out of what a bunch of sociopathic SOBs these usurists are!. Just think, a mom & pop hardware store pulling this crap. In the new renaissance, we will see and end to the nameless, faceless, immoral corporate entity. But a lot of crap needs to hit the fan first. Thanks for you comments.
Times are hard for people. I did what I did and I feel no pain. I took Chase, Bank one and Bank America for 150 thousand. I filed bankrupcy and I dont have to pay them back. I have no assets in my name and the money is in cash and well hidden. The fees you pay are to pay for their loss on my account and others.
Its not Chase's fault, its people like me who take their money and run. I feel like a bank robber but my attorney said it is very legal.
Yeah, Gerald Celente knows what's going on. It's best to get rid of those credit cards and pay down debt. We're not getting bailed out like the fat cats do!
ty for this video - im only 17 and nice to learn about this stuff before i get into it :)

I suggest anyone who is a business website owner do this as well.

your right 100% stevehoca. unfortunately, it's not only limited to chase (which is the worst one) but all credit cards are folling chase's lead. i also especially hate discover card. i firmly believe that the credit card companies purposely hit accounts with unjust fees in an attempt to hijack your credit score in that they can continue to raise your interest rate.
americanillusionist 2 years ago
Chase are scumbags. I just transfered a balance to them. I thought it was for transactions. It wasn't. They made it sound like it was for balance transfers and I wound up paying 19.9% a year! They are out of their minds! I never paid that much interest for anything in my life! I never fell for shit but its my fault I guess I did not read the microscopic print!
phasaeknox 2 years ago
Chase now has the Sapphire card which apparently allows you to choose the date of your payment. But anyways I think Credit Card companies should allow you up to 4 late payments a year no questions asked if you are paying in full or the minimum. WTF?
travelplus1 2 years ago

Schom4 2 years ago
Awhile back, Chase added another screen at the end of their online payment process. At the bottom of this final screen (which you can't see unless you scroll down), you check a box saying you agree to the payment, even though the previous screen made you believe you just did that. Also, they kept the little printer icon at the top of that extra page, which makes you think you are finished. (to be continued)

FRIENDS DON'T LET FRIENDS USE CHASE CREDIT
CHASE is the WORST. Taking taxpayers money and more than doubling our minimum payments from 2-5%. They do this on low interest balance transfer loans to get them paid off faster and/or negotiate you to a higher rate to restore the 2% minimum payment. Mine was 5% and they offered to raise it to 8% for two years and then off course up to 18%+ after that. These people cannot be trusted.

2. Chase buys Wamu & we held 4 cards
3. Chase charges $39 late fee & raises a 5.9 card to 29.99% because we posted the payment right at noon~ totally UNFORGIVING!
4. I paid off that card & closed that account.
5. Chase raises all the interest rates on the remainder of my 2 cards~I pay those off.

I hope I'm wrong though.

as of 8/1 my minimum payment goes up from $300 to $750 per month.
ThornBoyz2207 2 years ago
Banks use the weapon of credit score to force you to bend to their will. The whole credit scoring system is another scam in its own right. Lets recap:
* Scam - above 15% interest.
* Scam - raising current rate to super high rate if late one day.
* Scam - charging late fee for paying on the actual due date regardless of time standard.
* Scam - lending out non existing money and it being 100X more they borrowed from the screw us over (fed) reserve.

I can tell you that they have been like this for at least the last 5 years because I went through something similar back in 04. They are so big that all they can do is tout policy. I've been predicting Chase and BoA and corporations like them are going to go under.

GenRev1611 3 years ago 8

So long greedy Chase...
wired443 3 years ago 2

Thanks for your audio comments.
