  • <3 Danced to this with my now-husband in 2006 in Beaumont on Crockett Street. Good memory! :) Great talent.

  • This is just simply f*cking amazing. This has to be one of the best versions of this song that I've heard. Very cool!

  • I love this version of this song. Tab, Jimmy and the entire band are absolutely phenomenal together. Brings tears to both my husband's and my eyes. Thank you for the incredible music.

  • These arms of mine, These arms of mine, they are lonely, Lonely and feeling blue. These arms of mine, they are yearning, Yearning from wanting you. And if you would let them hold you, Oh how grateful I will be. These arms of mine, they are burning, Burning from wanting you. These arms of mine, they are wanting, Wanting to hold you. And if you would let them hold you, Oh how grateful I will be. Come on, come

  • OMG...I want to marry this man......

  • I could only imagine how this sounded if you were there and feelin the moment as a musician...

  • It's not Otis - but honest, it's a great cover and his guitar playing is just something..

  • Never heard of him before. Saw him tonight live in Houston area. OMG!! He is everything. Guitar is beyond, voice is fantastic, gorgeous and funny. What more could you want in an entertainer. Will se him when ever I can!

  • This man is simply amazing. Being from the south, he truly shows how funny we can be as well as entertaining. He has the personality as well as the talent and looks. Bet Ottis Redding didnt have all of that.

  • All of the solos gave me chills! AMAZING!!

  • @24exile Sorry, my mistake :)

  • I love Tab, but BS to everyone... Otis' version is one the greatest songs in history! Tab's may be 2nd best

  • very nice

  • amazing, thx for sharing. *****

have a great weekend, hugs always with love. XXX

  • Very nice. Would love to hear Greg Nagy sing this song too. Tab and Greg on the same stage...that would be dreamy.

  • Awesome. Man, he can rip on that Tele. Can you imagine Tab and SRV on stage trading licks?

  • truly an amazing performance! I kinda think that Jimmy really steals the lead in the middle...perfectly crafted, and right on with the emotion of the song! Great rendition of this classic!

  • i think he sings it better than Redding

  • OK, let's calm down. I love Tab Benoit, but to say he sings THIS song better than Otis . . . are you HIGH!?!?

  • Tab and the band give me goosebumps..they are awesome!!!!!!

  • Tab and Jimmy and the guys this is the BEST that I have ever herad. Otis would be very very proud of you.My new favorite song ever. Thank you. I seen Tab at a Blues Festival in Marquette Michigan way up North, He was awesome . What a wonderful person. You have to see him live. Excellent,

  • Tab's exceptional, we saw him & Thackery in St Paul, MN - gave the best performance we've ever heard in our lives! WOW, what an event we'll never forget. And Tab has been the most talented younger Blues Men we've had the chance to see on 6 occasions, most in Duluth, MN. But we saw him in his hometown-go to Huoma, LA, for the "Voice of the Wetlands." Great purpose and then you get to see Tab and other national and local blues players & the local food can't be beat-best Cajun you could ever have!

  • Jimmy Thackery is a fuckin GOD

  • Otis would be happy!

  • great

  • It gives me a great feeling!!!

  • I'm gonna ask Tab if he knows you buckwheat39....

  • Let me know how the Blues Cruise went Marothhel

  • Great feeling !!

  • This is my absolute favorite video.....It's like a religious experience!!!!

  • I love anything by Tab Benoit...He'd could flush a toilet and it would be music to my ears.....Love you Tab!!!

  • Great performer, Tab Benoit. Thanks for posting this vid, brings back memories of slowdancing with my honey :)

  • when did Thackery grow a thimble on his head..hahaaaa...Not quite the cone-head he used to be, hey ? Great guitarist..one of my favorites. Burfod's Bop ..took me a year to learn it right..and then I had to see Jimmy play it live to get the chord changes perfect.

  • Uh...I think "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow" was written by the great Bluegrass songwritter and performer Ralph Stanley. The song is older than Tab Benoit.

  • In case you folks didn't know, Tab Benoit wrote the song "I am a man of constant sorrow" for the "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack!

  • Really? I thought that the guitarist in Allison Krauss and Union Station wrote it.

  • lol, nope sorry. Check out the Eric Clapton Crossroads DVD, he has 2 great songs on it, one of them is "I am a man of constant sorrow" where he explains that he wrote it for the 'Oh Brother' soundtrack ;-)

  • Tab didn't write it

  • Tommy's right, i went back and double checked it, i'm sorry my mistake

  • "The sorrows of life are the joys of art...."

  • AMAZING Musicians! This is an excellent performance!

  • Great job.

  • anything by tab is good though.
