@STeLLaLuNOra I personally don't like them when they are soft and tender, for me they are too ripe then. I prefer them to be a good size and firm still. You have to pick them and experiment to see when they taste best to you.
My daughter will come over and take bags of them home and make lime pie. It's really useful having a fruit tree. I tried to start some tomato plants but apparently you have to start them around February here in Phoenix as it gets too hot in the summer here for them, mine are dying before they started bearing. :(
i understand about those tomato plants. it seems like you always need to plant them early. due to different climates. and that is great having a fruit tree.

how did u start off grown the tree did it start from a small plant pot then as it got big u let it grow bigger n the yard?
