I don't understand people who have to find Christian versions of music they like. It reminds me of this Muslims lady I met in the supermarket looking for "halal" green-tea. This is green-tea, mind you, not cow or lamb. I can't think of many instances where the Black Eyed Peas were un-Christian, can you?

And if you think music without words isn't Christian I don't think you understand the language of music. Maybe the artist wants you to improv your own words or simply listen and open your mind - hopefully without the help of Ecstasy ;-)

Really though, while the person who made the video is obviously christian, it's impossible for a song to be "Christian" without "Christian" lyrics. I honestly don't think that a song without God-glorifying lyrics can be classified as Christian music. I make techno, and I don't think I could call it Christian just 'cause I'm a christian myself.

Just my opinion! Everyone's opinion is flawed in some way. xD

@ledgendt Actually, God created music, lyrics or no. So, music, even instrumental, can be a way to worship God, or to destroy souls. Music alone has an influence over the human mind. God knows that. Lucifer knew that, still knows. So what of the pianist who sits in his room, doesn't sing, but while playing he's worshiping God? I ask, 'cause I do that. Sometimes, some lyrics mention God here and there as if to spice the song, but do they actually work?

@Methanol2000 FL Studio is a Digital Audio Workspace generally used by amateur producers. I use it myself. I have received a lot of comments like yours, and I think you are right about God and music. I've been getting some interesting comments regarding my post though, and I'm beginning to realize that if you create it with the specific purpose of glorifying God, you really don't need lyrics. Like, to quote scripture, it says in the bible (Psalm 150:3) "praise him with the harp and the 10 string lyre...". I don't know about you, but I take that as "you can use instruments to praise God." It's given me a bit more purpose in music :)

Actually the Bible states that When David played the harp the evil spirit that came upon king Saul left him. Check 1 Samuel 16:23. it proves that as long as one is with the holy spirit, the simple act of playing an instrument can make great things happen

@ledgendt you have a good point, but I think it has more to do with the heart of the composer. Take Bach for example, he wrote several wordless pieces like his preludes and fugues. Yet he says that all he wrote was for the Glory of God. Would you therefore say that his music wasn't "Christian?" You could make the argument. More importantly, did he glorify God through it? Yes. The Bible says that "In whatever you do, do it for the Glory of God" (1 Cor. 10:31). That's what is important!
