hey, question. I have a pioneer 1k watt surround in my room and most, well all but one of the speakers has lost their surround. well i replaced them with speakers from my rca 200 watt and they are actually holding bettter/doing better than the pioneer speakers that came with it.

@YingYang512 any ideas why that could be??? the sub is the most particular. it is doing overly well for being over powered. but questionably on the rca it is tragically underpowered. hardly nothing comes out. Unusual at best. Anyone have some answers?

try hot glueing the inside of the box to keep iit air tight and also try putting ports in it, it makes it alot better and louder

stretch electrical tape across the flat sides from corner to corner / edge to edge making a star *

if you stretch the tape tightly it will minimize/centralize flex on the cardboard to the center and increase your overall resonance. has to be electrical tape because it's rubber.

also find a way to mount the speaker flush against the box.

@barevids i have a goodmans sub too, i got it from a 5.1 dvd home cinema speaker system. i got this system for free in an electronic shop near my sweet home when i bought a tv. the sub i've got is bigger, but only 12". i was bored (like you :), so i made a new 3.1 system which i actuate on my pc. i connected an amplifier to the sub. the 3.1 system sounds pretty good and looks nice. i didn't use the goodmans tweeters, i used other speakers because the goodman tweeters are crap but the sub is ok
