Well before I can say I know someone who had an unregistered gun and took it target shooting in open ranges in the mountains. No gaurds or fee. You just drive their, park your car, get everyones attention and request a cease-fire and set your targets... run back and start shooting. Then you finish... if you're not a cunt you collect as much garbage as you can and leave. Also they don't check your registration at shooting ranges. As long as they don't SEE anything illegal you're good.
What did you try today? shooting an HK? Yeah their handles aren't for everybody but I can shoot it just fine even though it's less than perfect for me. I think the standard USP .45 compact is a bit too small too... But I like the OEM sights.
hmmm. i like gripping it that way cus i can take my thumb on my support hand and lay it across the front of the trigger guard, adding a little extra stability. plus it feels like i'm "holding" the gun, not "gripping" it. sight picture/alignment is much more stable.

lol nice, i can agree that it IS very hard to rapid fire that fast with a 45. over time you can manage to hit the guy with all your shots doing rapid fire. but it is not necessary with a 45. 1 shot should do the trick. haha i should go to the range and try rapid fire on my SA 1911-A1.
The XD is not a weapon to be used at fifty yards. It is made for much, much closer engagement. Practice getting it out of the holster and on target smoothly, speed will come with time. One well placed round is all that's needed, spraying lead like this is a waste of time and money.

i don't know why people think so highly of a 45. it has about the same recoil as a 9mm, or 357mag. Actually the gun matters a lot too but I shot a 45 HK and a 9mm glock out both hands at the same time and hardly noticed a diff.

2nd of all 9mm are the most common calibre people get murdered with. How is it not lethal? Do you realize that a hollow tip expands to about .45" and in 147gr. weighs only slightly less than .45auto?
Lastly, there are many types of guns that shoot 357 mag including semi-automatics so why would the ammunition not be accurate?

Heavier can penetrate through easier meaning less knockdown power but faster bleeding (not because of the size of the entrance hole but the presence of the exit hole and the fact that the entrance hole is NOT plugged. But when a 9mm penetrates THROUGH it's about 15% smaller so theoretically 15% slower. And since you CAN get a glock with 15x.45 rd mags the .45 barely wins!
I think it has more knockdown power because of the larger diameter/weight and slightly less velocity.. it doesn't penetrate as easily and transfers more kinetic energy to the object it impacts.
Well that's correct in the event that the 45 is INCAPABLE of penetrating THROUGH the target. I've never shot a human w/ a firearm but I'd guess a heavy round nose 45 would drill through a torso like it was a paper target.
Also if the bullet is lead I think it is softer so therefore creates more friction.

That's a bad comparison. Penetration relies on small size, weight/speed (momentum) and dynamics. The smaller bullet penetrates more than the bigger while the heavier bullet penetrates more than the lighter. So it boils down to the individual case you're using it for and the range/distance. For less than 25 I would personally prefer 9mm with higher capacity magazine for quick takedowns.
Remember over-penetration can work against you.
If you throw a lemon in the air and swing a sharp knife at it real fast it hardly effects the lemons route. If you swing slow the lemon goes flying away.

its funny no matter where you on this earth and even online the damn 9 mm vs 10vs 40 vs 45 is always around. I like shooting the 45s and think if your a crappy shot it wont matter what your shooting or how many you have in the clip a crap shot is a crap shot. Well before I can say I know someone who had an unregistered gun and took it target shooting in open ranges in the mountains. No gaurds or fee. You just drive their, park your car, get everyones attention and request a cease-fire and set your targets... run back and start shooting. Then you finish... if you're not a cunt you collect as much garbage as you can and leave. Also they don't check your registration at shooting ranges. As long as they don't SEE anything illegal you're good.

What did you try today? shooting an HK? Yeah their handles aren't for everybody but I can shoot it just fine even though it's less than perfect for me. I think the standard USP .45 compact is a bit too small too... But I like the OEM sights.

hmmm. i like gripping it that way cus i can take my thumb on my support hand and lay it across the front of the trigger guard, adding a little extra stability. plus it feels like i'm "holding" the gun, not "gripping" it. sight picture/alignment is much more stable.
but yeah, it took me a while to get used to, so i feel your pain.

lol nice, i can agree that it IS very hard to rapid fire that fast with a 45. over time you can manage to hit the guy with all your shots doing rapid fire. but it is not necessary with a 45. 1 shot should do the trick. haha i should go to the range and try rapid fire on my SA 1911-A1.

The XD is not a weapon to be used at fifty yards. It is made for much, much closer engagement. Practice getting it out of the holster and on target smoothly, speed will come with time. One well placed round is all that's needed, spraying lead like this is a waste of time and money.

i don't know why people think so highly of a 45. it has about the same recoil as a 9mm, or 357mag. Actually the gun matters a lot too but I shot a 45 HK and a 9mm glock out both hands at the same time and hardly noticed a diff.

2nd of all 9mm are the most common calibre people get murdered with. How is it not lethal? Do you realize that a hollow tip expands to about .45" and in 147gr. weighs only slightly less than .45auto?
Lastly, there are many types of guns that shoot 357 mag including semi-automatics so why would the ammunition not be accurate?

Heavier can penetrate through easier meaning less knockdown power but faster bleeding (not because of the size of the entrance hole but the presence of the exit hole and the fact that the entrance hole is NOT plugged. But when a 9mm penetrates THROUGH it's about 15% smaller so theoretically 15% slower. And since you CAN get a glock with 15x.45 rd mags the .45 barely wins!

I think it has more knockdown power because of the larger diameter/weight and slightly less velocity.. it doesn't penetrate as easily and transfers more kinetic energy to the object it impacts.

Well that's correct in the event that the 45 is INCAPABLE of penetrating THROUGH the target. I've never shot a human w/ a firearm but I'd guess a heavy round nose 45 would drill through a torso like it was a paper target.
Also if the bullet is lead I think it is softer so therefore creates more friction.

its the most common because most dirtbags cant afford anything other than 9mm ammo... if your trying to tell us that a 9mm has as much stopping power as a .45 or even a .40 cal you are a retard and know nothing about firearms. there is NO doubt a 9mm can kill a human being, hell everyone knows even a .22 can kill a person.. the problem with the 9mm is that its smaller weight and higher velocity over penetrates, vs the slower velocity higher weight slug of the .45..

EL EM AY OH. 9mm is MORE expensive than .45 acp right NOW though... but back then when obama wasn't a threat it was 2 dollars MORE for 50 rounds from the same manufacturer on average.

That's a bad comparison. Penetration relies on small size, weight/speed (momentum) and dynamics. The smaller bullet penetrates more than the bigger while the heavier bullet penetrates more than the lighter. So it boils down to the individual case you're using it for and the range/distance. I wrote you a message about this. Also when the bullet easily penetrates through the body it has less knockdown power. For self defense you want to knock the person out then decide to kill/wait 4 cops. Agree?

Again my comment wasn't saying "9 is better than 45" -- it was that knockdown power is more important than penetration. Although bleeding kills a person faster, knocking them down is what prevents them from attacking me. So for self DEFENSE I'd prefer something w/ more knockdown power and easier to shoot rapidly. It just so happens I don't feel a diff. between 9mm and 45acp recoil so I would choose the lightway HP 45 over the heavy 9

He goes upstairs... there's a hole in the tile floor, looks up, RIGHT ABOVE it there's a clean 9mm hole in the ceiling, climbs on the roof, there's a 9mm hole in the roof. LMAO The 9mm traveled through 4 solid surfaces without losing it's direction or kinetic energy. If your enemy doesn't wear a vest than 45 is indeed overkill.

@SpitRhyma i would totally disagree. the 9mm has a lot more VELOCITY but much less knockdown power. meanin that it will tend to punch straight through a human target an drill a very clean hole. that is something u DONT want. an if u are usin ball ammo i WOULD choose the 9mm cause in ball form both dril clean holes. but i always choose the .45 because of the hydroshock ammo. the .45 can expand to a FAR greater diameter than the 9 an, bein slower, transfers more energy on target (knockdown power)
