I know that this was a "cover" Record for Danny and the Juniors' Hit song, but let me say that this is a REALLY good cover - in some ways even a little better. Although I did not know that BELL RECORDS was known for producing sound-a-like records, at least they put an honest musical effort behind it.
You can ask me about the 50´s and what car and sound: I would tell you Chevy 57 and "At the hop". To style icons, that will keep on goin´ for another 100 years.
It´s intersting, how the different versions of "At the hop" sound: there is this one, than Danny& the juniors, and the very first called "Do the bop" from the Juvenairs (= Danny& the Juniors before the song was called "At the hop").
There are german versions, too. Freddy Quinn did it, Ralf Bendix....
