  • they really nailed this movement, as is confirmed by the pianists expression/eye contact at 5:13

  • I wish I could play the violin half as good as she can.

  • You know I'm like the most unlikely person to see eny whare thares clasic and or clasy music kuz I look like I would be in a rock or emo concert but I love clasicle music ans I espesaly love this movement it starts out powerful and hits you in the face and then becomes like a small child that you nercher into a wonderful pice

  • Absolutely beautiful! Strong and passionate! I love the power of the crescendos and the melancholic interpretation of the melodies. Just like Beethoven would have probably wanted it.

  • this gave me a boner

  • This girl can play!

Amazing concentration she does justice to a great piece of music. Bravo.

  • I've been looking for this for ages! Finaly I found it, now I'm happy :)

  • y m'enerve tous ces asiat a être bon partout.

  • すごい!!!!

  • simply beautiful !!!

  • you cant play with a wedding ring on :(

its gets inthe way and can damage you intrument or even your ring

  • @xWoodnStrings she doesnt have a wedding ring on. :S

thats her right hand thats holding the bow. and its on her middile finger, you wear a wedding ring on your left on the fourth finger. :) Just saying :D

  • Wah, I'm in love with this movement. <3

  • She's married. I got a chance to study with her for a month. She is a great teacher as well as violinist.

  • Well, she is definitely no student anymore. She studied at Juillard and had won several prestigious contests. She solo's for the Tokyo Philharmonic and frankly speaking she's Veuve Cliquot champagne after a barrel of beer.

  • Don't see a wedding ring, maybe I've got a chance.

  • o.o OMG! everything about her playing is just wonderful! from the smooth slurs to the facinating virbrato's i hope i can play like her im only a begginer but i can dream lol thanks for this post i really enjoyed it! :D holy crap shes just awesome!

  • @sofine365 me too im 12 and i started last year and some ppl start when they are like 7 so i thought i was a bit of a late starter lol

  • @jordanrobbo989 i started when i was 7 and even then i thought i was a late starter ~0~ but it doesn't matter, i push myself with harder pieces and it really helps, and also one of them most important things is to practise, i can practise on and off for 5 hours in a day on a weekend out of free will and im grade 4/5 and can play most of toccata and fugue and some of the devils trill, it all pays off

  • @sofine365 me too well im doing my grade 1 in a few weeks but i love her violin its beautiful

  • That's too bad. =(  In my university there are often student performances people can go to for extra credit, they're free and really good. Plus I know in Toronto, there are youth tickets for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra which are supposed to be pretty cheap (plus you can bring a non-youth guest). Hopefully people who are interested in classical performances who don't have a lot of extra cash to spare can find good options such as these. ^_^;

  • its not beautiful. Its more than beautiful but there is no word for that. Music is alive. Nowadays most of all disappeared. Hope you know what i mean by this.

  • Let me guess, do you say that the songs and music of today's world was put together just like that and there is no meaning to it anymore?

If so, I'm on your side brother.

  • ....it makes me happy inside :)

  • hermosa version !!!!bien por Saeka Matsuyama y la pianista

  • excellent music-making! and great job by the accompanist.

  • interpretas de puta madre espectacular

  • It's very, very beautiful.

  • its so beautiful.

  • that was amazing..!!!!

  • How great was that!?! I wish they would put in More Info - WHO is the Pianist and WHO is the page turner - this in an ensemble and not everyone is - and should be recognized.

  • I think this was on one international violin competition. Of course the pianist is so great, she deserve a lot respect and compliment. Accompanists must be good on those competitions.

  • @gscotm55 dana protepopescu is the pianist ... simply world class

  • @gscotm55 Yes specially the page turner,oh and dont forget that they should also say WHAT are the names of each people listening.

  • she is dancing and flying inside of his mind ;) take a look again

  • Just close your eyes and feel the musique inside of you....

  • that song's awsome!

  • Anyone notice the opening sequence can also be found in the "Gloria Dei Patris" in the end of the "Gloria" in the Missa Solemnis?

  • Not entirely relevant to the music I know, but does anyone else think Matsuyama looks as stunning as she sounds in this performance?!

  • Both Matsuyama and the pianist are really great, but a adore Matsuyama the best.

  • she is so great, what a fantastic violinist! why does she never play in Europe? she's the best of her generation.

  • Phenomenal!!!

  • Beethoven has always inspired me in evey aspect of life, the raw emotion in him was beautifuly portrayed in his polished pieces of art. Saeka Matsuyama plays with the emotion that Beethoven meant to be portrayed. This is absolutely beautiful.

  • she is GREAT!

  • love it

  • zomg....bout to cream my pants off 320-350...the way its written...omg fuckin beethoven why do you have to be so damn good!!!!!! (exhausted from the joy of listening, he sits to contemplate)

  • You're right, sometimes a thing comes to my mind, that Beethoven was the greatest composer ever. Of course it's not true. Listening to his music is like being drunk - you forget about everything

  • that was amazing!

  • This video has really inspired me.

I am 13 years of age and began

violin lesson a few months ago.

I hope to some day be as good as

    Ms. Matsuyama.

  • I hope you will be better!

  • Wow!

  • shes great on the violin... 3:45...

  • exelente

  • I have always viewed Ludvig van Veethoven nearly as a God

    His music is really DIVINE

Thanks for let us hearing and view these very fine and good interpreters

    Best regards

    from Spain

LET US ENJOY BEETHOVEN DIVINE MUSIC ONCE AND ONCE MORE TIME

  • nani?

  • Very good. I thought the accompanyment was outstanding and the star of the show.

  • I dream to be half as good! Piano

  • Although, I agree, I think more dynamic near the end would have helped, an important detail for sure; it did seem abit of a race.

  • It's Beethoven for God sakes. Which details would you be speaking of? If you are going to critic please enlighten us!

  • MetaPhantastique

  • you know what, i will upload some more vids from that contest later... they're damn impressive

  • In a way it is a pity that she didn't win that concours, but the winner was also very impressive thought...

  • OK - Very nice and that's all...

  • Beautiful.

  • her interpretations sounds a bit cold, otherwise technicallly solid...

  • She is the prettiest violinist ever. Even more than Kyung wha chung.

  • no me gusta el sonido,ni la interpretacion de la sonata y el vibrato muy debil.

  • this was from QE 2005 live

  • she's great, for me she is farmost the most interesting japanese player of the younger generation. i love her way of playing

  • acommpanist is great.

  • Ooh sexy violinist
