depends on who is playing them haha if you are barker than your drum sticks last one session cause you're hitting everything as hard as you possibly can all the time. Also depends on which ones you're talking about. Hickory is the best in terms of lasting a long time

Chad is showing different techniques and what you`re about to do when you`re able to play every basic. What he`s trying to tell you is : be creative, be different and find you`re own style. It helps to be able to afford your own drum tech I'm sure, haha. But check out Bob Gatzen's drum tuning vids on youtube, particularly the one on kick drum tuning. He's got some good ideas.

Try putting a pillow pushed up against the front skin. Tighten the brackets just enough so the skin doesnt sag, but so its not super tight either. This will give you a real deep sound. Peace =D

your retarded if you think he only used a single. while most of the double strokes used are simple, they fit the bill of bb, simple but written well plus he has to stay in the pocket. what your probably thinking of is diary of jane's verse where he does kind of a triplet or something but later on in the breakdown of the song hes using doubles. and the k hybrid is the soundlab prototype, 16". it was only available in 17" and 19" but they added the 16" recently. stay cool.

He is a very good drummer, on the Phobia album he only used a single kick pedal and he still managed to make it sound like a machine gun, kinda like Dave Grohl and John Bonham.
