Indeed, clean energy is the job - engine. Oil has few high-paying jobs. At Prudhoe Bay oil field 2500 may work well-paid people. It should be added that 7500 jobs in the processing and distribution maybe?

In order to switch from fossil fuel to renewable will be expensive, just like getting electricity was expensive the 1st time we did it. It is possible to define criteria for optimal energy efficiency.
Anyone who meets these criteria may be able to receive free energy demand. That pays off economically. All the energy that goes beyond would be correspondingly more expensive....

Cap and trade is all about raising energy costs on consumers so this can happen. Right now free energy is more cost-prohibitive. Ironic isn't it?
That is simply an untrue statement. Companies like Citizenre install PV and you pay a flat fee per month about the same or less than what you pay for electric now. And your monthly rate is locked for at least 10 years.
The reason I didn't mention it is because there are none. This model is being copied to some degree by a couple of companies. Citizenre is the first and only to make this offer, first and last month rent is all that is required prior to installation.
The high cost of feed-in tariffs for solar and wind energy will be borne by the consumer community. With many new systems automatically increased for every kwh of electricity - in 2010 are the utilities at me 1 cent more each Kwh.
I do not know whether I have explained clearly that, but this approach has proved successful. In a few years, the golden goal is reached ;))

So it is with wind power, but this are large-scale plants.
There is a feed-in tariffs, so that the investment is paid off after ten years.

Cars can drive on electricity, air and water.
When a country does not invest in such technology others will run away with the it, improve those cars until America is bankrupted.

Than you have to deepen yourselves in that technology. Cause some the cars that drive on alternative energy, can go up to speeds of 120 MPH and drive more than 240 miles on one tank. Costs 5$.
Normally something like that would cost you 60$.
So that would mean reducing costs with 90% and you'll save the environment as well. No more smoke above cities, that kind of things. Cheaper products... more export, good for US economy. Lower taxes.

That was the idea behind Supply Side Economics, and the rational for Capital Gains tax rates being lower than payroll taxes. But while that might have had credibility in the 80s, in an age where investment is borderless, all it does is subsidize the wealthy to invest in Chinese companies that drive American companies out of business.
Compare the HSI to the DJI over the last ten years if you want to see proof.

The classical Supply Side Economics theory claims that giving tax breaks to the wealthy encourages job creation because they invest it back into the American economy. That was true in the first half of the 20th century, but it's not true in an age of international investment.
These days, having a low capital gains tax rate, without stipulating where you invested to earn the gain only encourages job creation in China.
