i have an e46 m3 (sure who cares lol). My point is that .....the latest gen. s2000 (which has those specs) was the car I was comparing in terms of fun to drive and HO NA motor engineering. I still love the s2000. 4 me....it's NA OR NO WAY!! In a way though....the s2000 is like a modern hatchiroku ae86.....like weight, cuts corners, small NA engine "that could" and a blast to drive.THUMBS UP ON UR STATEMENT!! =)

actually its a 2 liter engine on the ap1's (00-03) and that redlines at 9grand. The ap2's (04 and up) have a 2.2 liter engine and redline at 8200. do your homework, i have owned both. :D

@belgradeboy89 the 2.2 liter engine or AP2 model (2004 and up) only redlines at 8300rpm. it has more useable torque than the AP1 models (2001-2003) that redline at 9000rpm.

@veyronman cept japan. Japan got the 2.2L in 2006. In fact there is a vid somewhere of the drift king testing out the new 2.2L. He liked the midrange power and corner exit but he did not like having to shift more due to the lower rpm range.

just debating either the S2000 or an RX8. Did alittle research on the rotary, even took one for a test drive...and was quite amazed, very tail happy around corners an gained control rather easily, had a smile on my face when i was done. The S2000 i have yet to drive an everyday im leaning more an more towards an convertible, but what would you suggest? i know reliability is non-existant with the S2000...but a suggestion would help.
