Actually, that too is false. Many poser emo's can be described that way. But emo and goth each are a subculture. Goth is much older and dates back as an original subculture. Emo dates back around the time electronic music was released, the subculture ventures around emotive hardcore music. Most poser emo's listen to fall out boy or escape the fate and call it emo, which is retarded because it doesn't say emotive hardcore on their genres, most have never heard emotive hardcore.

@flaredemando - Emo is just another name for Weakling/Pacifist and makes being so "cool" because of the culture that goes with it. Also I like math, 80's Rock/Metal and am into my roots.... I don't see how thats a bad thing so if anyone calls me a nerd at least I know I've got an above adverage mind that is fully functional.
But yes, lets just enjoy the Music. We need more bands that just do whatever they please like Creature Feature.

@fangrrlofnigahiga 13 year olds lack individuality and the drive to be their own person. Part of school survival is about fitting in with a group, and conforming to whatever happens to be the latest label.
Unfortunately the emo label has been slapped on kids who arent hardcore enough to be either goth, punk or insert-other-godawful-label-here. Its a modern-day illusion, so you can be generalized and ridiculed for belonging in a group that everyone else has decided are depressed and into selfharm

@camisadokiller666 Emo is a trend. You'll probably never see a 30 year old emo (and god help him/her if you do) because it's just a trend. Once you leave school and experience the freedom of independance, your music/fashion completely changes. Yes, the emo crowd will help shape you at the end of it, but most people who go by the label will be surprised to find that they don't need it, and are strong/individual enough to be themselves. THAT'S what we need in society.
Labels ruin individuality.

@fangrrlofnigahiga PRETTY sure that was sarcasm. But...i am not emo, goth or anything. Im sort of a mix between emo (exluding the pain idea. But i do have depression.) and a nerd. I play shit loads of games and i also wear black...im also pale as all hell. But even with depression i pretty much try and hide that as well as i can and make people luagh. Hmm. Emo + nerd = Nemo? O_O

"Most 13 year olds" would be much more fitting. Not all thirteen year olds are like that. Anyways, what does this kind of argument have anything to do with the music?

@UkariiMoonshine Quite right! The music is brilliant. I didnt like this song to start with, but it grew on me, and I love it!
And yes, (from my experience) the only good thing about 13 year olds is that they grow up to be 40 year olds with more sense, and independence from the crowds.
