The Buteyko Method treats and reverses the root cause of asthma, which is a low level of carbon dioxide in the lungs. This technique is safe for all ages and has no side effects, it is a drug free breathing method and lifestyle. Buteyko Center USA teaches students how to apply the Buteyko Method and is now offering a free download of the Asthma Cure Manual until the end of August, 2011. Don't miss this opportunity, contact us at 1.800.520.3450 or visit our website for more information.
I feel like more doctors should see this video... my old doctor told me I couldn't have asthma because I didn't wheeze. My new doctor was the one who diagnosed me with cough-variant asthma. Gave me an inhaler, and just like that the dry, nagging cough I had for months disappeared.
I've had a chronic cough for almost 10 yrs now. People think I have a cold, I just tell them it's allergies. But I've tried Zyrtec and acid reflux meds, and I'm still coughing. Sounds like it might be this. Funny how the allergists never mentioned this to me.
i have had symptoms for months i saw 2 diferent doctors and a specialist, and they have all said they dont know whats wrong. i have trouble inhaling deep breathsand a constant cough. some say anxiety, some say asthma, and some say acid reflux. whatever it is im sick of it. I used to hike and run daily now i can only do it some days when i feel good. whatever it is i pray i will get better soon.
Thank you so much for this. I've had a "chronic cough" since i was little, but my parents never knew how to treat it b/c the doctors didnt know. When i was 16 i was diagnosed w/mild asthma; then it was a mis-diagnosis b/c it was a "narrowing of bronchular tubes". But when i went to bmt i had a lot of trouble & they ultimately sent me home. Watching this, it sounds like EXACTLY what i have which is sad b/c even specialists couldnt tell me that. I think they used a peak flow monitor to test me.
i have super-bad asthma since i was born i cant do sports i have six diffrent inhalors i have died for 2 mins aswell i have had newmonia once and double newmonia and i am 13
Muito bom o video .Pergunto se uso do aerossol com espaçador em alumínio (sem carga eletrostática) melhora na deposição da medicação , sendo comparado com espaçadores de plástico ?
I'm asthmatic I had bronchitis at the age of 3 and an attack wen I had bronchitis I got given an inhaler but Neva used it after it had gone then in my p.e lesson wen I was 13 I collapsed to the floor unable to breathe I thort I was going to die I was sooo scared I got diagnosed with asthma offically and haven't had an attack since but it is scary like
asthma sucks! Igot diagnosed with asthma when i was just 10 months old! I almost died of asthma twice when i was around age 3! I had to take nebulisers until age 12 and now i am on steroid inhalers to help build up my lungs and i have a fast acting inhaler. gosh its a pain in the butt!
@basketball55060 i hear ya.had asthma for 10 years.marijuana practically cured me in a couple months or so. inhalers open your lungs faster if you have an asthma attack then weed but weed just makes it go away serveral months at a time.peace
Thank you for this video! I was diagnosed with asthma by my PCP several years ago but because I've never understood it. If my breathing's ok, I don't take my meds/inhaler but the coughing is my biggest problem. I'll now be more vigilant about taking my meds consistently.
dudes!!!! i smoke but i dont think i have astma or bronhitis!!! i use inhalers but i smoke cigaretes!!! it s not so bad!!! i think i dont have astma attacks only i m hard to breath 2 times a day!! but than i make inhalation and thats it !!! send me messege, what do you think???i have astna or smth. smaller!!!
One good way to help various kinds of asthma where you don't have to take any medication or any kind of anything is the Buteyko Method of breathing that helps your lungs calm down a lot. It's an excellent way to get the asthmatic symptoms calmed down.
Thank you so much for this information for our nursing students! I was a swimmer who had "bronchitis" 3 times a year with only cough. I used to drink codeine cough medicine from the bottle before racing! This went on for over 15 years before a very sharp doctor diagnosed it in the late 1990's.
The big problem with this type of asthma is the paramedics and ER staff may not recognize the seriousness of the airway problem in acute exacerbation.
oh come on give me a break. I've almost died from asthma several times and I still havent bickered as much as you, and your definitly not forced to stay with asthma. start running.
SgtGumbo: thank goodness you are here to enlighten YouTube with your charming comments and videos. perhaps you should take your own advice if you 'almost die' a lot and yet are 'not forced' to live with asthma. you missed the point of my comment, which was about quality of life.
ps. look up the word 'bicker', it's -not- synonamous with complain, and in fact applies to your comment and not mine. have a great day and stay in school!
lololol i made those vids 3 yrs ago to test my webcam:P, and hey as a child I almost died(more than once) but through many treatments, moving to a very clean city, and alot of cardio I pulled through I suggest the same to anyone.
BTW I go to a french school so my english is not perfect mmk?
Thank you for sharing this video. I've been suffering from this for months and we've finally found out it was asthma. I'm 35. Growing up my worst respitory issue was broncitis. The constant coughing is creating other problems and I have had several random moments when I cannot get air after a fit of coughing. Even the ER had no idea what was wrong with me. I see a specialist very soon which will be great because it's impossible to get a good nights rest like this.
I am an allergist and also a Cough-Variant Asthma sufferer, and yes, you only suffer from cough. This kind of asthma is also treated with antiasthma medication.
Also this also can lead to more severe asthma if left untrated.
The problem with this kind of asthma is that commonly overloked
Yeh, I had cronic coughing, and then I got fatigue BADLY and aching, and then I got bells palsy, and then the cough wouldnt go and I couldnt breathe, and I got uveitis and dam I was bad.
Anyway I got a disease called sarcoidosis.
I wouldnt wish it on anyone, and theres no cure.
so if you cough too much , dont write it off! theres a lot of nasties out there.
thanks these 6 videos really helped me understand asthma more. I never had asthma till i was 27..now at 44 I still have asthma...i am also doing reflexology to treat my asthma. It also helps me.
i had asthma from 1st grade then i had it until 4, then it went away but 5 came back worse so i can wake up without breath and coughing wellwell...anyways.
My oh my...if my doc looked like him I'd be "sick" all the time! What a hottie!
Tomorrow I am scheduled for a pulmonary function test to definitively determine if I have asthma. I've been using Asmanex once a day and an Albuterol inhaler as needed. I was checking out some informational videos on You Tube when I came across this video. This is going into my favorites! ; )
with my asthma i seem to do alot of coughing but lots of time i vomit from it. im not sure if this is the type of astma i have or not. im on 2 types of inhalers but this still conitnues.
@souldrums1 I have asthma too, and I can run at the same pace as my friends for the same amount of time (Though my asthma isn't very serious). You may have a lot of stamina, but if you can build your endurance you can run fine.
I have this. I experienced about 2 solid months of coughing. No phlegm, just a dry, hard, hacking, nonproductive cough. Whenever I went to the ER, the spirometry and peak flow tests would be normal which would completely confuse the medical students, who kept giving me Robitussin, and codeine cough syrups.
Drinking them like water, I continued to cough until I had to support myself on a wall or chair to have enough strength TO cough.
(MY story, continued) Only after tearing an abdominal muscle did the ER finally take me seriously and give me a steroid. The steroid put an immediate end to the coughing. If I had not been so persistent, I know that I would have died from this. I refused to pay the bill they sent me and I let them know why. I now have an allergy dr who takes me seriously and keeps me in good health. I'll sing like a bird on this topic if it keeps others from suffering like I did.
well my coughs last longer than a year (maybe they last forever) but the only way It stops is when the doctors give me antibiotics... and the crazy thing is that some doctors say that is sinusitis and others say that is coughing asthma
