My grandpa and I were very close and he was like a dad to me . When I was 8 my grandpa was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I was crushed when I heard it. a year later he got realy bad when he was in palitive care. I said "I love you papa I'll see you next time" everyday when I would leave. The last day I saw him I got really scared because he looked so different and I didnt say it...that night he died. I still feel guilty to this day. I would do anything to see him again!

I don't know my dad, he died when I was a baby, but he stayed alive on an iv until the day I told him I loved him. I've seen videos of him where he held me and others he made for when I want to see him. I wish I could have known him through more than a tv. I miss him.

@zutara4ever1011 i dont cry easily either, but when it comes to stuff about dads, then i feel so vulnerable. its not that my dad didnt have any time for me, its that he died of lung cancer when i was 1, so he didnt get the chance to see his little girl grow up with his wife he left behind. i dont know whats its like to have a father that loves me, but maybe you will. :)

I love my daddy i'm only 14 and my dad could die anytime if he falls again and the last thing i want is to get a call at school one day telling me to call my mom somethings happened and think "oh shit, wat did she do now" only to get news that my dad has died. It would absolutely kill me i'd never ever be able to forget it, i'd be a wreck bcuz even tho he's not the best and he hardly cares about me i'd be torn beyond repair at it.

My dad is my absolute everything, and hes not been weel over the past year and a half but hes the strongest man i actually know. When he was in hospital he was still making all hes jokes, he was putting on a brave face and i know no matter what i can go to him and he will always be there to cheer me up. I have never heard this. I lost my daddy in 2006. It has been the hardest thing I have ever been thru. I miss him so much. I cried when I saw this video. My dad has pnamonia, a horrible case of it. He was hospitalized for 6 months, then released still sick. I see him alot, and I see him have trouble breathing and cough so hard he can't breathe. I love him so much, I cry at night knowing I'm not with him. I'm his baby girl and he's my daddy. I don't talk to my dad anymore, he was very abusive and just mentally unstable I guess. He threatened my family and told me I was the reason for my grandma getting cancer!! We just don't talk to him anymore because he's just scary to talk to. Last we heard he was homeless living a whole state away and now he texts saying MI is going to flood and everyone up here is going to die because of the divorice. He held me and told me he was gonna commit suicide.. I wish we were close like this :( :)

My grandpa and I were very close and he was like a dad to me . When I was 8 my grandpa was diagnosed with stomach cancer. I was crushed when I heard it. a year later he got realy bad when he was in palitive care. I said "I love you papa I'll see you next time" everyday when I would leave. The last day I saw him I got really scared because he looked so different and I didnt say it...that night he died. I still feel guilty to this day. I would do anything to see him again!

my dad means everything to me and i dont know what i will ever do when he is gone but i should injoy him while hes here he is 52 and am only 13 soo i pray that he will make it to give me away when i get married in the future and even more in the future to see his grandkids. well thats very fare in the future this song always gets me. i love my dad so much.. i am the baby of the family. for as long as i can remember ive been called his little girl. this song reminds me of him fully. he is certainly the strongest man ive ever known.

I don't know my dad, he died when I was a baby, but he stayed alive on an iv until the day I told him I loved him. I've seen videos of him where he held me and others he made for when I want to see him. I wish I could have known him through more than a tv. I miss him.

i cry every time i hear this song. My dad died a year ago of cancer and my mom died 2 months later, giving birth to my twin sisters. I miss them both so much. Its just not fair! R.I.P Mom and Dad! :(

My Ant told me about this song and i never have heard it before, so i go and look it up on here, once i started thinking about it i busted into tears, my 8 year old sister walks in and asks what's wrong, i told her it was the song and that i was thinking about daddy. She starts crying because i was crying and i'm guessing her mind was on daddy. My dad works on night shifts all the time, so he sleeps during the day and leaves at 5 that afternoon, i don't get to see him much...

My dad is my rock. He taught me how to ride a bike and he's going to give me away....I hope and I pray he never dies. My parents split twice and I know it'll be hard for me the rest of my life. I told my dad that i'll have to let go someday and he said "Ya well im never going to let go of my baby". I cried and he laughed. i cry at this song because my dad yelled at me because i couldn't ride my bike. my parents divorced when i was young and we never really got along. he would get mad at me for the littlest things like me not liking tomatoes. me and him have never really had a conversation before and that is why i cry at this song because i want that kind of relationship with my dad. I love this song, it is so amazing. My father was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer on 1/2/09 and given 6 weeks to live. He found god and he and I repaired our relationship! It was amazing. His goal was to live until Christmas and he passed on New Years Day of this year, 1/1/2010 (364 days). He was ready to go, but I wasn't. Everytime I hear this song, I cry. It is beautiful & I am so very grateful to have gotten the chance to mend our relationship and be there for him & me, when he passed

my father never taught me how to ride a bike, i'm thirteen and don't know how. he never taught me to tie my shoes, i did. He never came to school on breakfast with daddy days and he never held my hand when I needed it. I never said I loved him, I never gave him presents. I know when I find that man, he will teach our kids to tie their shoes, ride their bikes and go with them to school. I know we'll love eachother. I'll fix my father's mistake, and mine. I love this song. I can't find the album anywhere. Its so pretty. My natural father turned 60 this year. I'm so worried I can't shake that feeling.
