  • The Clippers? Please! They're a 4th tenant in Staples Center, who pays no rent and settles for concessions and ticket sales, because the NBA redistributes revenue, and Don Sterling spends little on the team, in other words other teams hand over his profit, while he does nothing.

As for Cali going bankrupt, that's more a political issue, as it is in 10 other states. The state may be mismanaging money, but it doesn't mean the people are poor. I'll pay the higher taxes, it's worth it losers!

  • Blah, blah, blah go all the Cali haters! If N'yack is so great, why are all these pasty rude, ill mannered east coast transplants over here clogging up my freeways?

We're not lazy, we just don't waste time on losers ask the Raiders and Rams. We work hard here in L.A. and we play hard, and we don't owe any team anything, everything is earned, if you stink, we don't need you, we can find something to do here.

East coasters kill me! They view blind devotion as a virtue, We call it stupidity!

  • Should I ask the Clippers too? I heard California is going bankrupt.

  • agentbl your just a stupid ass idiot, do you even know what happened the sorry ass fankees did not want him back. and you sound like the pompous ass you probably never lived or never even been to la. i have lived in both city's and there both a wonderful place to live. of course ny is the center of the world. that dose not mean la and every other city in the us is full of fakes and phonies. joe was always loyal to the team and fans it was your yankees that were not.

  • sorry, you are indeed correct, but the one year offer from Steinbrenner was essentially a slap in the face a sign that Joe had to move on.

I don't think the hollywood stereo type need be applied to someone in the sports world, or to all residents of the city. LA is a MASSIVE city, full of many hard working people, I'd argue the immigrants working here work harder than any group of people in the country, as they have a tremendous chip on their shoulders.

  • I have family in both cities, and I can tell you both cities have good teams, good historically rich franchises, and very good fan bases, and I have the utmost respect for both

  • yeah, that's true that Torre needed to move on himself anyway and everything you said about L.A. is so true.

  • From Brooklyn to L.A, those bums are my bums.

    The Hunt for Blue October!

  • Everyone in the NL should watch out in 2008 because the BLUE CREW WILL GO ALL THE WAY! Hiring Joe Torre is one of the smartest decisions that Dodgers Owner Frank McCourt has ever made. Bow down before the might of the Los Angeles Dodgers(manaical laugh)! Good luck, Mr.Torre, and I sincerely hope that you will help the Dodgers go all the way in 2008!
