  • I have a Diverter valve similar to the Forge, I have it set up as Hybrid operation. But its very quiet. Is there anything I can do to make it a little bit louder? Should I twist or tighten the spring clockwise or counter for a louder sound?

  • What is a good shim and spring combo for a stock 1.8t setup?

  • i got an a4 1.8t ultrasport for my 16th bday, if i get a k&n filter on it and put the dv valve on how much psi do i want? and will it give off that good sound?

  • the part where you assembled the DV, it was pretty quick.

i just had a question about the shims. How does it go?

Piston, One? or Both? shims...., then the spring, then the cap.

Do you put one shim in? or both?

  • Hey, ive got a jetta 1.8t, hat model of diverter forge is for my car? they are offering me a diverter - blow off valve forge splitter, theyve told me that is a blow off and a diverter at the sme time, which is better for my car. and also, do you have any video of a 1.8t stock with this valve? i would like to listen how it sounds; id like a moderate sound. thank you very much!

  • @DANTESK8CH I dont have a video of it. However, it will do the exact same thing as the Forge Valve. Especially the newer models. Once you add more HP then it has a better chance of compromising.

A Blow off valve is not the same thing at all as a diverter valve. BOV vents to atmosphere without recirculating the air for the MAF readings. DV recirulates the air helping with MAF readings, adding air to the intake of the turbo, helping to keep it moving. sorry no stock DV vid....

  • it's true about the service of this dv. cleaning and lubing would be of extreme importance.

  • u forgot to metion u need to lube it with mobil 1 grease every 2months

  • I dont know anyone who greases it up every 2 months LOL only a complete nerd would do that. I however know of quite a few that have run well over 10k long term with no service and had no problems - valve functions like new... best 1.8t valve on the market...

  • Better to be safe than sorry! My piston gets stuck once in a while, thats how i know i need to lube it up again. Yes i am a nerd why thank you. I wouldn't dare go 10K without lubing thats just asking for trouble. your gonna burn out the rubber seals if you wait that long.

  • lol fair point m8, will keep you experience in mind and get mine lubed up next service :)

  • @brontoe I havent lubed mine since 55K miles I am now at 122K miles. I wouldnt recommend not lubing your 007P regularly, I think I just got lucky.

  • Hi! I have a Seat Ibiza FR revo stg 2 does this DV fit it? And do I need to install any new parts such as a new air filter aswell?

  • It has a sharper more crisp sound in comparision.

  • How does it sound compared to the stock DV if all you have done is intake?

  • in my opinion the stock valve was slightly louder and higher pitched.

  • @Diastavrones I thought they sounded the same. However, I invert my Forge 007P to get a sharper sound.

  • @firefly4322 how do you invert it?

  • so what srping should i most likely be using on stock 1.8t with a cold air intake?

  • It really matters more of how many lbs of boost you are running, not your intake type.

If you are stock then green spring. (5-15 PSI)

Yellow (15-23 psi), Blue for 23-30 and Red for 30+

Generally, you will chipped you should be using the Yellow spring.

When you get a bigger turbocharger you are going to want to go with either the blue or red spring.

  • You shouldn't bother with a cold air intake with a turbo because you're already getting cold air to the engine. Just get an intake manifold

  • @Chldrnofbodm totally disagree when it comes to the VW 1.8T engine. which commonly uses the 007P. Its has been proven that the ABD Racing CAI gives you an extra 15hp. The Stock Turbo isnt going to be able to maximize the potential of the larger intake manifold. Matter of fact, the APR intake manifold pretty much makes my stock K03 run out of breath higher in the RPM. OBVIOUSLY because the turbo is too small for that application.

  • You forgot to take into consideration that the air heats up after going through the turbo. If you're wanting to insure you're getting cold enough air to the engine, you'll need an aftermarket intercooler. Only gains you'll receive from any intake (CAI or RAI) is simply that there's less air flow restriction.

  • Hey Bro I Have a 2005 Audi A4 1.8T and a 2001 Audi S4 2.7 Bi-Turbo how much will the DV cost for My Audi's i really want it manly for my 2005 a4 1.8t it all stock i only have a HKS intake thanx...bro!!!

  • where does this go .

  • on the GTI, Jetta, GLI, Bettle, Audi TT it will go up on the turbo inlet hose, connected between the charge pipe. Its easiest to see on the top. The stock valve is made by bosch and looks very similar

  • what is a good dv i could use for a 2.0T VW GLI (2006 model)

  • is this good for audi 1996 s6 c4 2.2turbo 169kw?

    thanks

  • if it uses the same Bosch DV that you would replace on the VW then yeah. For some reason I cant remember what the part number is to the Bosch Valve.

  • Perfect explanation. ;-)

  • i have a stock 1.8t audi a4 putting out a 8 psi boost....is there any point to fitting a Diverter valve??

  • I would say no, since that is pretty stock. UNLESS you desire to upgrade your programing and/or your current DV is shot and in need of a new one. That is if you want one that will last a while.

  • Make a short film of you actually installing one of those on a 1.8t. that would be really useful. no one else has done it.

  • how much boost do the stock k03 turbos put out?

  • i'd like to know since i own a 2005 stock gti. and the turbos in those are k03's and the next upgrade would be a k04. but the stock turbos are fine if you do modifications without switching out the turbo. but still. even on a stock turbo running norm psi's i'd like to know, since i'd like to purchase the 007

  • You can always bump up the PSI with a boost controller.

  • 7,8, or 11 PSI depending on year (turbo) of the vehicle. On my KO3S stock boosted 11psi but I later cranked in up to 30psi and have had zero problem with all the way til I upgraded the turbo and currently push 25psi out of the upgrade. The KO3S is a nice turbo, basically put 60k miles on it in race mode, only replaced it for a much larger setup.

  • would it fit a 07 gli 2.0 Turbo???

  • No it wont. Forge makes another one for the 2.0T

  • THANKS

  • do you know a website were i can get it???

  • Quick question.... you said for the s4 2.7t you could use two of those..... Would that mean the "whoosh" sound will be louder?

  • It should and adding high flow intakes or CAI intakes would make that sound even louder.

  • My boost output is about 11 PSI, is the green spring still good?

  • What are the shims for ??

    Mine doesn't have these

  • Minor Tweaking where the springs would be for larger tweaking.

  • What spring should you be using if your car is......kinda stock? I have a Forge CAI, 007p, and APR TIP and TBP.

  • If you are chipped then you want to use the Yellow Spring. If not then the Green Spring what you should use. The Springs are really based on what your output boost is.
