As a former Republican, who long..long ago...woke up and saw the direction the party was was headed, I can honestly say the name needs to be changed to the REPUG-LI-THUG Party. I live one of the reddest of the red districts in my state, and all I ever hear is racist comments about the President and FOX News disinformation from the morning coffee crowd. Dems have put the amendments in and tried bi-partisanship. Repubs have to realize It's a democratic majority now, they had their shot and the people got sick of the abuse of power. It's the dems turn to make some things happen now and It's ridiculous that republicans are saying this bill should have 85-90 votes to pass... the rule is 51! While the Bush administration slipped bills under the bar, the reps in the House and Senate are now trying to raise the bar for the dems to do anything.
