This game sucks on xbox...dont waste your money. These are the worst handling cars that I have ever seen in any driving game...its like racing on ice, and the cars are way too unstable at high speeds. A very poor design for a driving game. This game is much more annoying than it is fun.

I'm hesitant in getting it...I didn't like the first that much :/ It was great, but the maps were just too similar I thought! NFS Hot Pursuit, Blur, and Dirt 2 (soon Dirt 3 :D) is more my cup of tea. But we shall see! It is on my list of games to consider trying :)

GT5 will still dominate the realism. But I do think that the sense of speed and sound in this game surpass that of of GT5.

Need for speed will never be realistic. If you think so you don't have a license yet. NFS had a good thing going with their first handful of games because they did their own thing. Why kill the series further by following in others footsteps(Forza, GT) because those 2 series will always be the real "sims". Listen "kids", bashing racers off the road while you do a 150MPH drift in your CCX and getting extra points for the road rage is NOT REALISTIC.

I really appreciate the work EA is doing to make a good helmet camera. IRL, when you are racing, your head don't stand still (which happens in many racing sims today, like GT5, or GRID): You usually need to look directly at the car you have to pass, to the sides when another driver is passing you, etc. I know that these actions cannot be reproduced well in games, but that the reason racing sims exist. If the cam in Shift is realistic enough, then I'll buy it.
