I was born in Alexandria, Virginia, a few blocks from Lee's boyhood home. I grew up playing on the lawn of Mount Vernon, George Washington's home. I spent many joyous fieldtrips in Williamsburg and Jamestowne. I always dreamed of having a library like Thomas Jefferson's. I would visit James Madison's home and imagine all of the trials and victories surrounding our constitution. I learned of pride, honour, duty, integrity, and loyalty from the lives of Virginians past. I am a Virginian.
Oh how I miss Virgina! I live in Texas and I have to say I hate it so much. I miss those green trees and green grass. All I have hear is bushes for trees and heat like hell. God bless Virginia and Fairfax county!!!!!

I have to tell ya, Virginia is surly one of the best states to live in the south, I'm living in Clifton Forge, Virginia about an hour west of Lexington near the West Virginia state line and about 2 and half hours north of Roanoke. If you get a change look up Falling Springs Virginia you'll see the famous water fall in Western Virginia just north of where I live, it's breath taking to see in person.

That's debatable. West Virginia was formed when its counties decided they disagreed with Richmond's decision to secede and join the Confederate States. They seceded themselves and asked to stay within the US as a separate state, a request Washington granted. That was their decision, though I'm curious as to why that was legal and secession is otherwise condemned by Unionists.
It's only legal to Unionists when they have something to gain. Secession is the right of all free people. Jefferson, Washington, Madison, all the founding fathers believed in secession that's how we got away from england, By seceding from the empire. There's nothing wrong with the principle, regardless of what Unionists try to tell you. The rest of the world does it all the time.

I agree but overall Virgina has some of the finest colleges overall in the country. JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY, UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA, VIRGINIA TECH, WILLIAM AND MARY, VCU, GEORGE MASON, ODU, and several more.

Absolutely, but the Ivy League schools are better than just about everybody, and they know it, too. VMI and The Citadel are also known for their immense faith in their own way of doing things, but they're different from places like Harvard.

Virginia was the first state to outlaw the slave trade. Any slave coming off of any ship in virginia was automatically free thanks to patrick henry a founding father after the revolutionary war. Virginia is a fine state. Texas is my home state. God Bless the Southland home of love and kindness.

That's debatable. West Virginia was formed when its counties decided they disagreed with Richmond's decision to secede and join the Confederate States. They seceded themselves and asked to stay within the US as a separate state, a request Washington granted. That was their decision, though I'm curious as to why that was legal and secession is otherwise condemned by Unionists.

Jefferson, Washington, Madison, all the founding fathers believed in secession that's how we got away from england, By seceding from the empire.
