  • Great recipe, by the way. And I love how you gave us other options about how to serve it and the different sauces also. Thank you so much for sharing ;) jeovana

  • @JeoVanaiZaTion

    Hi

    Enjoy!

  • Hi, I have a question about the recipe. I was wondering if I could marinate the tofu overnight with the sauces, then cook it. What do you think? jeovana

  • @JeoVanaiZaTion

    HI

Yes, that will taste actually better. But keep marinate in fridge.

  • Thanks for sharing this simple & yet delicious recipe!

  • I have never been able to get my tofu like they do at Chinese places. I like it the way they make it when it is in triangles, the schezuan bean curd, that's what I like. Sometimes they do this "home style" bean curd and it doesn't even seem likes it is even Chinese, it's like "pot pie" with peas and carrots and gravy and the tofu is soft in little cubes and doesn't have the good texture.

I'm guessing they use a different kind of tofu than what is usually sold in grocery stores.

  • @God0Mighty1

    Hi

There are many kinds available in market so you have to pick suitable to recipes...I buy extra firm tofu for this recipe.

  • @ebaysingh09

    Hi

It's not about geting cheap, but it is about making fresh at home. I make many things at home eventhough I don't have time, just to get that freshness and satisfaction. And I have feeling that if I make this tofu at home even, it will be better than store bought. But I don't blame you, everybody has their own preference, so I am just sharing....Have a bless day and Keep enjoying.

They sell them at Panda Express and some Walmart Supercenters. I think I will buy the Mandarin one because I bought it one time but this time, I will make a Tofu one because I love their Tofu eggplant.

  • @Sternschnuppen85

    HI

Serves 4 and stays good in fridge for about 2-3 days but it taste better freshly cooked and since it doesn't take much time to cook, I recommend to cook just before eating. Enjoy!

  • Thanx for the recipe. I have recently started loving tofu. It seems very much Korean inspired with the ading of the sesame seed oil and seeds. Thanx

  • "Will vegetarians disintegrate if they consume pig fat?" What the fuck do you think? Does ANYTHING disintegrate if they eat something? He didn't ask for your opinion, either.

  • can i use homemade sweet n sour sauce?

i combine soy sauce, ketchup, chilli powder, ginger and honey

  • nice

  • What type of tofu did you use? Can I use any seasoning that I like?

  • @mindyourbizok

    Hi

I used extra firm tofu. Yes, you can season however you like. enjoy!

  • You can put lard ( pig fat) instead of oil, it taste good!!!

  • @vnck25

    Hi

It taste so great without any pig fat. I wouldn't recommend pig fat b/c this site is for vegetarians. Enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

Why,what's wrong with pig fat ? Will vegetarians disintegrate if they consume pig fat?

  • @vnck25 you're an idiot!!!

  • @arieloz

How can I be an idiot?

  • @vnck25 You are an idiot for saying, what is wrong with pig fat, and will they disintegrate if they eat it. OMG, how dumb are you!!!

  • @arieloz You are an idiot for not understanding his sense of sarcasm.

  • @MuscaVolitans I dont remember asking for your opinion, and I fail to see how his responses could be at all considered sarcasm? What are you his partner and he asked you to come on and support him and hold his hand or something?? morron.

  • @arieloz

Well then if thats not the case there should be a better explanation why vegetarians can't eat meat, will their mouths get locked or something he he he

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

What do u mean this site is for vegetarians? I thought that is for food lovers.

And whats wrong with adding pig fat once in a while, what's this thing about vegetarians and meat. I mean why cant they eat meat but they can surely suck meat, isnt that right?

  • I tried this recipe and 2 thumbs up. Thanks for this

  • @naijalexusgirl u

  • Hi

did u use the sesame oil to brown tofu?

  • @inity26

    Hi

No, You don't have to add sesame oil to make it brown. It becomes brown with spices and sauce.

  • Hi Bhavna. If I want to add the broccoli & bell peppers to the tofu, at what point do I add them to the tofu stir fry? Should I steam or fry them separately first? Thank you for your help. =)

  • Hi

I usually steam broccoli in very hot water for just minute or so and add very last or right before serving to retain color and crispyness. Bell pepper you can add when tofu is done half way. Thanx

  • does it test like paneer cheese . i never test tofu befor!

  • Hi

Both paneer and tofu has their distinguish taste. But tofu is more healthy and good option for vegan. Paneer on the other hand has high fat but still healthy. Tofu taste great, too. When you buy, make sure to buy extra firm tofu. In some of the dishes, you might not even notice whether it's tofu or paneer. But people who are paneer lover, may notice the taste of tofu differnt. But you need to try to know the real taste of tofu. so enjoy!!

  • But I am sure, if you make good dished with tofu, you will fall in love with it. I add tofu to many dishes, just to name few, soup, salad, pasta and many ohters..

  • Oh, I've got to try this! Thank you, Bhavna!

  • Hi

More tofu recipes will be posted soon on website so keep enjoying.

  • 5 Star!

The asian powder... i thought i was the only one that used that. I have tons in my cupboards and use it all the time. I mix it with water at the very end I pour it in for a thick fat free sauce around the vegetables. That's for my diet food hehe..

Also sesame seed oil added at the very end for flavor. Just a bit.

  • Hi

    Great tips!!!

Yes, I ususally season everything when I am about to turn the stove off. Once the tofu is brown as I shown in video. Keep advicing!!

  • Hi Bhavana

    Thanks for another great recipe.

Would you please tell me which tofu you used for this recipe? Soft, Medium or Hard?

  • Hi

As I written in video, it's extra firm tofu. Enjoy!

  • Looks great, I have to try this one :)
