Shinki is awesome, and Alice may or may not be Shinki's daughter. It's what we call 'unconfirmed'. Although, I would say adopted if she is in fact Shinki's mother.

There's actually a rumor that Alice is a homunculus, created by Shinki. Alice was supposed to be the embodiment of death, where Shinki represented Lucifer.
