Contemporary society in America is not nearly as racist as in the Indian subcontinent, Europe and most other parts of the world I've lived in/visited. Obama has passed the healthcare bill as well as measures on credit card companies to stop predation. He has managed the economic crisis reasonably. He has pulled most troops out of Iraq.
