In my opinion, Bill Gaither is the Dick Clark of gospel music! I dread the day we lose this great man of God. No matter how depressed I may be when I tune in the Gaithers I feel better and the depression seems to go away! Thank you Bill Gaither for all that you do for the world of gospel music :)
This is outrageous - I noticed a comment complaining about porno and looked and it is above the gaither videos. Somone or whatever has linked this garbage in. Whether google is to blame or some satanic group is hard to say- but lets agree to praise God for its utter defeat and the victory of the testimony of Jesus Christ. "They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of the testimony and that they loved not their lives even unto the death." Rev. 12:11
my mother fought her "final war with pain" only the other day, but I know death gave way to victory and she saw the lights of glory and was welcomed by the One who lives and reigns! What a blessing this song is and has been to so many who face apparently uncertain tomorrows with the calm assurance that he holds the future.

But then i stop and realize i rather go though this life to come to know who god is, to experiences all the dark valleys life has to offer just to know that the lord is with me and see me through anything and then i realize life is worth the living just because he lives.

when I was younger and in deep depression, thought God had turned His back on me, attempted suicide. After I was out of the hospital, I went to church and this song was one we sang. I could not make it through without tears, and to this day I cry when I sing it. It has been a reminder to me that no matter what, He is with me.

I ‘m 52, but when 15, a deep depression led me to a life of constant fear, panic attacks, insomnia and made me lose my joy for things that I used to like. I had no idea how to overcome this state. I went from visiting physicians to psychiatrists to find reliefe for a few days only to return to the previous state. There were horrible days until God came into my life and by accepting his son Jesus as my saviour , to make story short: depression left FOREVER!!!

Everyone, God (Jesus) has put in you in tough times for a reason...I lost my mother when I was 11 years old, lost my greatgrandfather same year as mom, I was born 6 wks early and almost died..I just want to let those who don't know Jesus Christ that I've come out a completely different person..i can't explain it..Jesus saved my life..ever since I've accepted Christ into my life/made him Lord of my life. I can see why Christ still has me alive today...to be a testimony to those who are unsure.

We lost my mother in law 11-2. My sister played this for my moms funeral & this was one of her favorites that my daughters sang for dad when he passed in 2001. She was Episcopalian & had never heard the good old Southern Baptist songs that my girls & I would sing. I was honored that she had requested it many months ago. We love & miss you mom. I was brought up on Gaither songs and sang with mam. I sang this song as mam lay in intensive care when she was suddenly taken seriously ill and was going to be with the Lord, my sister was also there and in labour with a son! 15 friends and family were sat around her bed. It was such an intense situation but I had a wave of praise and singing to the Lord well up inside me, and this was the first song I sang. Unknown to me all the ICU staff were standing around listening, and I know mam was too!

I first heard the Gaithers when some friends asked me to go to one of their concerts - they had an extra ticket, and I have THANKED GOD ever since that there was a spare! I bought SIX Gaither albums during the intermission of that concert; it was an incredible experience! 5000 people came out of the Shrine Auditiorium singing "Alleuia" (after hearing Worthy the Lamb - no one was seated during that!), and L.A. didn't know WHAT to think about US!!!
I've been singing that song in church for as long as I can remember, and never before has it touched me like it just did. Thinking about how good God is, and the blessings He has bestowed upon these people brought a tear to my eye. Thank you, hoover4000, for living for Christ.

My dad passed away 3 years ago. He had dozens of "Gaithers Vocal Band" cds and tapes. I sold them all in a garage sale. Now I am discovering them via Youtube. Praise God. What beautiful talent for the Lord God. Wish i still had your collection Dad.

We lost my mother in law 11-2. My sister played this for my moms funeral & this was one of her favorites that my daughters sang for dad when he passed in 2001. She was Episcopalian & had never heard the good old Southern Baptist songs that my girls & I would sing. I was honored that she had requested it many months ago. We love & miss you mom. You are with dad again, my mom & brother & I know I will see you again when day. Because He Lives, I CAN face tomorrow.

I'm sorry for your loss. This song was played at my grandpa's funeral when he passed away back in 2004. Every time I hear this it makes me think of him and it brings me strength knowing he is in a better place now. May it bring the same encouragement to you as well.

I was brought up on Gaither songs and sang with mam. I sang this song as mam lay in intensive care when she was suddenly taken seriously ill and was going to be with the Lord, my sister was also there and in labour with a son! 15 friends and family were sat around her bed. It was such an intense situation but I had a wave of praise and singing to the Lord well up inside me, and this was the first song I sang. Unknown to me all the ICU staff were standing around listening, and I know mam was too!

I first heard the Gaithers when some friends asked me to go to one of their concerts - they had an extra ticket, and I have THANKED GOD ever since that there was a spare! I bought SIX Gaither albums during the intermission of that concert; it was an incredible experience! 5000 people came out of the Shrine Auditiorium singing "Alleuia" (after hearing Worthy the Lamb - no one was seated during that!), and L.A. didn't know WHAT to think about US!!!

I've been singing that song in church for as long as I can remember, and never before has it touched me like it just did. Thinking about how good God is, and the blessings He has bestowed upon these people brought a tear to my eye. Thank you, hoover4000, for living for Christ.

Bill should sing everything he says, because he doesn't stutter... but then Mark wouldn't have much to make fun of him about... Mark sounded alot like Danny here... I love the version with Gordon singing the part that Mark sang here.. was awesome

God is still on the throne. We have nothing to fear. Jesus is our Messiah. Please, America, look to Him and not a human. Remember our roots. My great-great-great grandfather fought at Yorktown and is buried in a little cemetery in WV. They gave their all. Lets not throw it away. Pray for America!
